edna
I´m hiding from what awaits... and also cause I saw that poor Anne Nicole Smith on tv and I find her even more disgusting than Courtney Love+Divine...
Jenny
I also suspect suicide, most likely due to PPD and all the legal troubles she was having. I hope she's found peace and that her daughter finds a stable, loving home to grow up in.
blind-fitter
I´m hiding from what awaits... and also cause I saw that poor Anne Nicole Smith on tv and I find her even more disgusting than Courtney Love+Divine... What's so disgusting about Divine? I know she's not been blessed with the cutest face, but give the girl a break, eh?!

Sweet Jane 61
I just read an article where they are comparing Anna to Marilyn Monroe...please!! No comparison except they died too young. Marilyn had more class than Anna in my opinion. Both had troubled lives, but Anna not even close to the gentle soul Marilyn was, no way. Also read that a judge ordered her body to be preserved until February 20th pending a hearing on the paternity of her baby. I feel for the baby, and hope she will have a good life. daslied
The Marilyn comparison was inevitable, though - blonde pinup, Playboy, questionable sexual partners, wacky, drugs, died young. Sadly, she will probably be remembered as the Monroe of this generation.
Sweet Jane 61
That is too bad. I am a Marilyn fan, but even if I wasn't there is such a difference in the women, their personalities. Anna was wild and Marilyn was just a lost soul looking for love who had a huge heart. Ok enough of me defending Marilyn's memory. I get that way, a fault I guess you could say of mine. Sweet Jane 61
FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (CNN) -- A drug overdose killed former reality TV star and Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith, Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said Monday. Tiger said there was no evidence of foul play and the overdose was accidental. The medical examiner's office had said on March 7 that the cause of Smith's death had been determined, but it would not be announced for one to two weeks to give police time to finish the investigation. Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper wanted to make sure none of the investigators' findings change any of his own findings, his office said then. Tiger said Monday the case was now closed. Smith, 39, was pronounced dead February 8 after being found unconscious in her hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino near Hollywood, Florida. A preliminary autopsy in February indicated that Smith did not appear to be a victim of foul play. Smith was buried March 2 in the Bahamas after a court battle over who would have custody of her body and where she would be buried. She was buried next to her son, Daniel, 20, who died in September of what one pathologist said was a lethal combination of methadone and antidepressants. Since her death, controversy has swirled over the identity of the father of Smith's infant daughter, Dannielynn. Smith's companion, Howard K. Stern, and two other men have claimed paternity. In 1994, Smith married 89-year-old Texas oil magnate Howard Marshall II. He died the next year, and until her death, Smith was involved in a legal battle over the inheritance that included a 2006 U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Steel2Velvet
... also in the news today ( 3 minute blurb ) , Hamas and Fatah factions stopped their feuding and reached an agreement to share power in the government of Palestine . They can now begin talks in a united front with Isreal about a peace settlement ( a pre-condition of Isreal's ) , yadda-yadda-yadda - but no , the last 8 hours of CNN coverage are on this hugely important story ! A 'Celebrity obsessed culture' the media likes to call us - perhaps , but look who's feeding us ! } Very well communicated, Kevin.

Otokichi
http://www.jibjab.com/what_we_call_the_news There's a Jibjab online cartoon that addresses the low state of TV news. (I knew this was going to happen when TV news departments were made a branch of the Entertainment end of the Horse!)
