RockyRaccoon
Have seen it - right here on Earth, in fact - and I agree it was a beautifully filmed masterpiece ... however .... Kubrick's best movie is Dr. Strangelove . I'm going to have to disagree with both. Kubrick's best work is A Clockwork Orange. Anyways, I saw A Serious Man recently. Not the best Coen brothers movie but still a good one. I've never seen a bad Coen brothers movie.
TheLizard
I love those weird Jewish dudes. Have yet to see A Serious Man though. But if it keeps with the pattern, I'll adore it like a pretentious film student just like I have everything else they've made.
skybluesky
My favorite Coens are still Fargo and Lebowski. I've even tried to convince my mom to abide. She liked Burn After Reading, so she probably could achieve.

RyanTurtle
She thought that was hilarious. I however was mortified to be seeing that with my mother Ha! I went with my mom to see that movie and I have never seen my mother laugh as hard as she did when she saw the sex chair...seriously, she couldn't breathe. RockyRaccoon
A Serious Man isn't Lebowski, Fargo or Burn After Reading but it's good. For me it's hard to pick a favorite. I loved No Country For Old Men, Burn After Reading, and The Big Lebowski. I also loved Barton Fink, which no one has seen haha.
TheLizard
I've seen it. It's awesome.

skybluesky
I saw that at the library today and almost picked it up. I'll have to get it.
Shawna
that one is a good flick. I find that I always enjoy Angelina's acting, unless she's trying to be a super comic book hero or something. The Changeling was a good one.
RyanTurtle
Went to see the fourth kind today. Scared the hell out of me. Something about it just struck a cord with me. I was shaking by the time the movie was over. Aliens naturally scare me, but this movie was like no other alien movie I've seen. I give it 10/
Farin
the first half of Transformers I know I couldn't have expected a consistent, logical plot with believable characters, but the reality is far worse 2/
Farin
The Lives of Others definitely deserved all the awards it got 9.5/

Okay so I finally watched the whole movie...I'll keep my rating 9/10 still....I would give it 10/10 but I could of done without Angelina saying "He's not my son"....a few hundred times.... Uncle Joe
Anyone seen Pirate Radio yet? It's on my "must see" list. When I was stationed in Germany ('66-'68) I loved listening to Radio Caroline and also Radio London. They played all of the great rock including some of the more obscure album cuts from American and European artists/bands. Radio Luxembourg (not a pirate station) was pretty good back then too. I understand they are still broadcasting. Anyway, I suspect that this movie will be entertaining as well as a bit nostalgic. I hope it's not too much of a farce though I know it's a comedy. TheLizard
I wonder why they changed the name? When I first saw a trailer for it, it was called "The Boat That Rocked". Either way, I want to see it.
The Seeker
It's called The Boat That Rocked in the UK... and it's been out since April here
MindCrime
Gran Torino (finally) I see that everybody else gave it 10's, but I just didn't like his character or the development of the others. The plot was interesting though, but I felt that they tried to kill him off too quickly to end the movie. 8.5/10 or better. good film. That's about what I would have given it, overall
