The Seeker
Into The Wild, about a guy in his early twenties who sets off to travel round the US/Mexico, always with his great goal of Alaska in mind. Very very intense. And made even more powerful by the fact that it was based on a true story.
Lucky
Oh yes, very intense. Quite depressing as well, but in a good way, if that makes any sense. I was very sad by the end of it, but it was a good film. On the flip side of the coin, we watched The Holiday last night. Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black were all very good. Nothing earthshaking, but a nice little romantic comedy. Eli Wallach had a small but important part, and it was great to see him. Peaches' Mr Black was just soooo sweet in this film! 8.5/

I can't begin to imagine how lonely that must've been
Batman
Yeah that was one of my favorite movies of 2007. I liked it a lot. I just watched Breaking Away and I give it an A-. I was entertained.
bluesboy
You need certain survival skills before you can live off the land. This guy was doomed from the start.
The Seeker
You know, bluesy, I was watching the movie and this one song was playing and I thought 'Ah, so that's where his signature is from'. (don't know if it's a cover though, or maybe even a completely different song)
bluesboy
Yes, it's the Eddie Vedder song Hard Sun from the movie, but I did take the liberty to change the "the" to an "a".
Batman
I'd say my favorite movies of last year were: 1. No Country For Old Men 2. There Will Be Blood 3. Into the Wild 4. Once 5. Superbad I'd give them all A+'s! I guess I'm a pretty lenient movie critic though.

skybluesky
^one of my favorite lines ever! I especially love the doubling for Bella Legosi. If your leading man ever dies during production, just replace him with a guy who holds a cape over his face.

scott
With all the plan-9 love, I assume you've all seen Ed Wood? Love that movie. I just got back from the cheap theater, saw Step-Brothers Frakkin' hillarious. I traveled 500 miles to give you my seed! and FYI, if anyone here misbehaves, I'm gonna rub my nutsack on their drumkit. Cheesey one-liners galore! 8/10) The Eye (Not as bad as I thought it might be, but not the best 5/10) Pulse (Abosulte garbage - Wes Craven has no idea what the concept of consistency and clarity is. 2/10)
