Shawna
^ No. > But I should be. I only found out Monday that my son's school starts on the 13th... I really need to get him to the store for another binder that's not broken. V When does school start in your area of the world?
edna
^ Mid September. School was harder when I was a child. I am glad I went to a good school and we respected the teacher. And we had a uniform and stuff. I see nowadays school is funnier though... Did you have fun in school? V
Rayzor
^ always > I was drunk some of the time, so that explains some of it. The rest of the time I did what I could to get suspended V Were you a bad kid or a goody-goody in school?
edna
^ Rather bad in high school. I was part of the "beautiful people" And you? V
MarcM
I was a bad ass band weenie! We had fun. They never found out that we had a key to the band room and regularly had parties there on the weekends and late at night. You?
skybluesky
I didn't really talk to any one I wanted high school to be over because college was where I would really learn Were you involved in many school activities?
edna
^ Not a single one. Except drawing comics with the professors as characters and being very popular among my school mates. And when school was over, we went to our friend´s places (or mine) and listened to Jimi hendrix while smoking pot. Oh, how modern!! Did you think you were the wise one and the other ones were the straight? V
The Seeker
^ Depending on what you mean by wise, yes. < I didn't pay attention or study a lot and my grades weren't exactly great, but I'm sure my friends and me had a lot more fun than those people who worked hard to get straight As. v Which of those two groups did you belong to?
skybluesky
As far as social groups I was a loner. I was in French Club and Spirit Club I was pretty nerdy. I liked school and never skipped Did you skip school a great deal?
Rayzor
^ yup > I almost failed kindergarten (pre-school, whatever) because I wouldn't go to school. My mom would lock me out of the house in freezing weather thinking that when I was cold enough I would go, but I stayed outside the front door and refused to go. I never did like school. V Were you ever happy to go to school?
edna
^ Only the last years, in High School. I was a loner, like Shannon. Always painting and drawing in the corner. When I was 15 we started high school, everything changed and I was very popular. And you? V
Jenny
^ another geek, here. I liked school. > I wasn't a loner, but I wasn't popular. The first day was always nerve wracking until I knew who was in all my classes. Then I knew I had a friend or two or I'd cope. V Are you the same as you were in school?
Floydaholic
< Since I'm still in school, I suppose so. I moved to a new school last year, so all my new friends didn't have to experience my growing up, so they all took to me pretty quickly. Everyone likes me in my year. < I'm not exactly the most popular person in school, but I don't care. I have loads of friends. v Were you a good boy/girl in school??.
edna
^ Again? No, I talked in class, smoked pot in the yard, was friends with the bad boys but I was quite charming and polite. Same question. V
Uncle Joe
^ Me, I was a badass. I was a jock a gangster and the class wit all rolled into one. < I believed there was nothing I couldn't do...and I tried to do it all. Except until my Jr. year I was shy around girls. That changed. v How about you?
MarcM
I was shy around the girls in HS. That changed when I was old enough to have a drink or two to get a little fake courage. I dont have that problem now. Of course, I am married, so it is now a moot point, really. When did you develop your social skills?
skybluesky
ummm, I'm still working on it at age 32. I just don't know how to talk to people because I don't like people I don't know trying to talk to me. Are you generally a friendly person?
Floydaholic
^ I can be. But most of the time I am sad about something. I am reserved. I can have fun though, I just don't feel like I fit in with large groups most of the time, because that's when my mind can wander further. < Life just seems so dull at the moment for me. I might see one of my friends on Sunday that I havn't seen in many months, so that will be fun. I just hope that she doesn't kick me in the balls. V Rate your mood /10. Shawna
^ actually, the only one who really put on any weight was a really nice girl back then. > All the Barbie Dolls were still skinny and ridiculously tanned, and looking far older than their 37 years. The men were impossible to even recognize, they had all changed so much. V Do you look anything now like you did back then?
skybluesky
hair is different but mostly I'm the same Heck, I'm listening to The Doors right now, which is what I would have been listening to if we were talking in 1992.
