miamisammy29 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Read my posts. You can't ask for a bigger hint.
edna Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Look like it has something to with... gospel music? Jesus Christ Superstar? Lloyd/Weber?
miamisammy29 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Not Tull. Not Christ. This is turning in to quite a showdown. Keep tryin'.
edna Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 It must have something to do with the "three days" thing... Maybe a song? An album?
miamisammy29 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Maybe. Just pick something out of the blue. You might get lucky.
miamisammy29 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Please, no more phone calls; we have a winner. Otay, Unca Joey, your turn.
Uncle Joe Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Thank you, Sammy. This late 50's/early 60's doo wop group out of Pittsburgh was one of the first integrated groups to hit the charts.
miamisammy29 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Who are the Marcels? (That's the same name as Ross's monkey, on "Friends".)
Uncle Joe Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Sorry I'm late but yep Sammy, you got it. So how'd you know it wasn't the Del-Vikings?
miamisammy29 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Well, I had to do a little research. The first group I thought of was the Marcels, and sonnuvabitch, wouldn't you know it, THEY were from Pittsburgh. I still wasn't sure if they were the band you were looking for, but I had a feeling it was right. Sorry, I was ill yesterday. Okay, new question for today.... This well known American pop/folk singer and part-time author is one of only seven people to have reached Number One on the New York Times Best Seller list for written works of both fiction and non-fiction. He joins the likes of Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, and Dr. Seuss, among others.
edna Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 We have a long-time songfactor who will know the answer to this one...
Lucky Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Here's a guess, though I don't know that I'd describe his music that way. Who is Jimmy Buffet?
miamisammy29 Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 Jimmy Buffett is correct. And exactly how would you describe his music?
edna Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Lucky, you should post a new one... His music? I know very little about him. I know a few songs. Sound s a bit country-rock to me... I like him fr what I have heard...
Dappled Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 While Lucky thinks up a new answer, here's anew one: This machine kills!
TheTallOne Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 What's the category? Because the only machine I can think of is Rage Against the Machine.
edna Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 "Nobody gonna take my car I´m gonna race it to the ground Nobody gonna beat my car it´s gonna break the speed of sound Oooh its a killing machine, it´s got everything Like a driving power big fat tyres and everything... "
Dappled Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 mmmm... the category would be, like, a warning sign on a "machine", a music machine.
edna Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Oh... who is Woody Guthrie, maybe? What is a guitar?
