Shawna Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Lights out from 8:30 to 9:30 tonight. Anybody else's cities recognising Earth Hour? Our city is lights out from 8-9 on Saturday night. And I don't know where I'll be, but it'll be interesting to see how businesses respond (clubs and restaurants, etc.)

Farin Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 it's an environmental thing... to save energy they ask everyone (private, commercial and public) to shut down all electric appliances for one hour, the public side usually shuts down the illumination on public buildings and stuff like that... we had something similar in december, but that was only for 5 or 10 minutes... I dunno how many people went along with it, but I think even some TV stations did only show a black screen for that time...
Viaene Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 oh yeah, we had something like that too. Didn't participate in it, don't see the point actually

Lea Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Just because I'm bored and kinda wonder. Other then anything to do with a PC what kind of hobbies do you all enjoy? I might get some good ideas from you guys. I like gardening (but it's to early to do much of that) and I like to crochet. I was just wondering what you guys like to do.
