Uncle Joe
That reminds me of my hotel stay last night. Two young blondes kept banging on my door. I finally had to get up and let them out.

I don´t know for how long but I sure love him and he´s brightening my day... Friends are my religion... I believe in friends...
Shawna
Friends are my religion... I believe in friends... My sister, who doesn't have the need for close friends, said to me a while back, "Shawna, why are your friends so important?" Well, duh.
Rayzor
Why are friends important? Don't you have family to talk to during troubled times?
The Seeker
Dunno how serious you are, but there's so many things I'd never talk about to my family, no matter how much they may trouble me. That said, there's only one friend I feel I could really talk to, but even if I didn't have that one particular friend, I'd rather keep it to myself. blind-fitter
Mrs Fitter and I both had the day off work today. After dropping our 3 kids off at school, we went for a 5 mile walk in the countryside, chatted, held hands, had a picnic, etc. On the way back to our part of Leeds, there was a CD compilation that I had made up for her, playing in the car. On hearing the opening of Big Black's "Kerosene", Mrs Fitter reached over and turned the volume UP, and I thought to myself what a lucky fellow I am, to have a bird who hears "Kerosene" and turns the volume UP. I told her how heartwarming that had been. On getting home, we went and did some errands, then spent some time pottering together in the garden. Then we went to pick up the kids and we walked the longer, more scenic route home. Even taking my 5 year old for a haircut went swimmingly. It's just been a really lovely day. blind-fitter
And just to cap a fine day, I baked a batch of my award-winning cherry scones. Mrs Fitter and I just scoffed a couple each, still warm, with cream and greengage jam. Yummy!

blind-fitter
If every day could be so agreeable, I wouldn't be half as uptight as I tend to be.
Levis
Everyday should be only slightly less agreeable so days like this are appreciated to the max

blind-fitter
The Greengage (Prunus domestica or the 'Reine Claude') is an edible drupaceous fruit, a cultivar of the plum. It was developed in France from a green-fruited wild plum (Ganerik) originally found in Asia Minor. It is identified by its small, oval shape, smooth-textured flesh, and ranging in colour from green to yellow, grown in temperate areas. They are known for their rich, confectionery flavour that causes them to be considered one of the finest dessert plums.
