pinkstones Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Sitting in the window looking at clear blue sky, listening to some great tunes.
RyanTurtle Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 My new glasses, I must say, I look damn good.
MuzikTyme Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 The better to see Ms. Turtlette with.
RyanTurtle Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Haha. She definitely approves of the new look
edna Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 Third day of fog... I feel like I'm in London instead of sunny Spain...
edna Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 My mother is 82 today. So, as usual, she throws a party or makes a dinner for her family and friends (who are many) She calls me and says "I know you come home late and tired so don't worry, I'm throwing another party on saturday so you can come with with your husband. The other friends and family will be there too..." ...I hope I'll be as active and joyfull at her age she's still amazing and has friends and writes and has a life... at 82... somehow she reminds me a bit of Karma...
Shawna Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 too true! At that age, you can let go and have fun because you don't even care what anybody thinks anymore. Good for her! Karma needs a trip to Spain, I think. Or maybe Mrs. Edna needs a trip to Oregon.
edna Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Mrs Edna will make a trip to Boston very soon... ...actually, she was always like that...
Lea Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 I love my Karma and she keeps me young She would love to go to Spain I'm sure Give your mommy a big hug but not to hard a squeeze, they seem a bit tender as they age
MarcM Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 My family like to go off road exploring with me.
MindCrime Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Last night I went to the Suns - Hornets basketball game, and afterwards I got to have a drink with former NBA great Tom Chambers. He is a real cool guy and class act.
Brad_M Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 That's only because his cap makes him look taller in that photo. I bet on the court he's a little shorter. Nice jacket you got there, Kenne.
TheLizard Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 For the first time since 2000, the University of Notre Dame has canceled classes for a snow day.
TheLizard Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 This never, ever happens. I'm shocked, actually.
Lucky Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 I just won 160 bucks in my fantasy playoff league at work.
Shawna Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 work! Work is sweetening my chocolate. That and marshmallows. Went through a dead spell for about 3 weeks after Christmas, as if... no one committed a crime. But happily, now they're out there doing all sorts of naughty things, so I have jobs rolling in again.
Lea Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I just bundled my TV, Phone and Internet. Unless they lied to me I will now be paying about 1/3 as much as I was for all three services combined Not only that, but my Satellite company gave me over a months payment back Did I mention the free laptop I'll also be getting? :happybanana:
Shawna Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 My kid could not believe that the same guy that is responsible for "F**k You" was in Gnarls Barkley. Then this morning we heard "Crazy" on the way to school today and he finally put it together in his head. Guess it's one of those things where you've got pockets in your brain for one thing and just can't seem to quite unzip that pocket until you have absolute proof. I think it's hysterical how much of today's music he likes, now that he's a teenager and he's really into music, that has remnants of the music I grew up with, if not out-and-out samplings or covers of songs, or the same people. I can hear the door creaking loudly every time his mind expands a little.
_Laurie_ Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Swing Dancin'! Did some shopping at the mall the other day, and they had some instructors from some dance studio giving free lessons in the middle of the mall, so I stopped to watch...looked like a lot of fun....but I should of kept on walking...one of the instructors wanted me to give it a try...so what the heck, I did!...and I must say I did pretty good!
Uncle Joe Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Swing dancing is so cool and the music is great. It was really big in the late 90's here in Philly. I wish I had tried it in my younger days. It's a little too athletic for me now.
RockyRaccoon Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 I corrected my Rock And Related Music teacher today He told the class Phil Spector was dead.
