Shawna 1 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Share Posted April 29, 2007 In steno we use a shorthand that is 2/3 the same as what other court reporters around the U.S. use, and 1/3 things we've made up that make sense to us as shorthand codes for everyday words. So, trying to be cute and mysterious, I hammered out a nasty, salacious what-I'd-love-to-do-to-you mash note to my significant other, gave him the double-eyebrow bounce, and said, "Some day I'll translate that for you." How was I supposed to know he knows a court reporter?? And a female one, at that! So glad he's got a good sense of humor - and hopefully so did she! Link to post Share on other sites
