What sweetens your coffee today II

Watch out for mold spores because they can cause irreversible lung damage...quick!

Unless you happen to know Grampa Munster. He used to make penicillin out of moldy bread. I wouldn't recommend trying this at home, though. (lol)

So far, this week has been perfect (IMO) weather in my neck-o'-the-woods. 83(F) the high and not a cloud in the sky!

What Sweetens Your Coffee Today?

Breyers Vanilla Ice Cream.

Hmmm. That sounds good.

It'd be great if somehow the coffee stayed hot and the ice cream stayed cold while ingesting both simultaneously. :P

You'd have a damned good invention if only it'd work like that. Otherwise it's cold coffee and hot ice cream.

Oh, welcome to the boards, Sky. Kick your shoes off and stick around. It's loads of fun!

'bout half a pound of sugar on my French roasted coffee sweetens things enough to wake me up :beatnik: I won't drink it as much for a few weeks since I'M DONE WITH FINALS

I know I already aced one class and even if I crashed and burned on the other, I'm a shoe-in in the master's programme. God, why do I kick so much arse?! The best thing is that the school and everyone is handing this to me on a platter, and I can take-it or leave-it without worrying about the consequences. Actually, that applies to virtually anything in this existence: I shrug and smile with my hands in my coat pockets because I don't give a damn one way or the other.

"Well I hear you went up to Saratoga and your horse naturally won

Then you flew your Lear Jet up to Nova Scotia

To see the total eclipse of the sun

Well you're where you should be all the time

And when you're not you're with

Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend

Wife of a close friend, and..."

Well, I'll be in Saratoga Springs for most of next week anyway...business you know...although I may sneak off a few moments to check out the racing and/or casino.

In honor of Les Paul's birthday.

Now here's a top ten I can get into. go to Google and record your best song and paste it here for the SF'ers to vote on. If you don't want to vote, do a song anyway. Here's mine..done on a Dell laptop, with a wireless mouse, in my hotel room in Saratoga.

I just ordered my ticket to go see Green Lantern! Been waiting for that movie since I read my first Green Lantern comic when I was 8 years old! 15 years of anticipation and it's all going to be over in 4 days. I'm so excited!

I'm just worried as to how they'll deal with Green Lantern's weakness and not appear completely stupid (for those who don't know, his weakness is the color yellow).

I'm pretty sure that won't be an issue, at least not in this movie. The yellow weakness was because yellow is the color of fear. For a majority of Green Lantern's run, Parallax (the living embodiment of fear) was imprisoned in the central power battery on the Green Lantern homeworld, Oa. His imprisonment caused an impurity in the GL's rings thhat caused them to be useless against yellow objects. Since Parallax is the main villain in the movie, it would make sense to not have the yellow impurity . . . At least not yet.

Wow . . . That was nerdy.

Ah well then that might make it better. Though it may be problematic for a sequel (should they attempt at one)

I agree, the yellow weakness works in the comics but would seem silly in a movie. Unless they do it like in the later comics where yellow is only a problem for new recruits. But after they learn to embrace and overcome their fear it's no longer an issue.
