My kiddlett is miserable and wants to come home. She has an out and will go back to school to get away from there.

As a rule she loves her job but this time they are giving her such a bad time she just wants to come home.

Some guy informed her that women are the weaker sex because she was having a hard time with something because she is short.

I'd bet a lot of money she could work rings around him if they would let her do the physical kind of work she lives for.

She is so unhappy there and I told her what a good experience it would be for her :(

So far she has been treated as an outsider, told she is a weak female and the cops were swarming her motel last night. I encouraged her to go there. My bad :(

I'm supposed to be going to this particular college course, because I only had 2 options, and I got rejected from the 1st one. But just 2 days ago it turned out that I actually have been re-considered for the course again! Now I'm torn between the two.

The course that I was re-considered for is Music in a college near where I live that is one of the top colleges in the country. It's a big college, so a lot of college life, but it'd be real academic.

The other course that I thought I was definately heading for is a smaller course, nicknamed "The Rock School", so I don't need to explain much further than that! Basically, that course is designed for musicians who want to perform.

If I went to the bigger college, I could probably find a band there anyway, I just don't want to end up on either course and regetting it....

Help!

Smokers who don' t care if there' s people around who doesn' t smoke or maybe even people with a cold who can' t stand smoke...

I always lived with smokers and it never bothered me, or if it did, I opened the windows... in any case, I always defended their right to smoke... but they can be so selfish... :P

Grrrr..Why do people get dogs when they are never home to take care of them?...Our neighbors just got a dog. For the past 3 mornings it's been barking for hours!...I couldn't sleep...I closed the window and I still could hear it barking...and they are not home now, and it's barking it's head off again!.....Grrrrrrr.

I understand completely Laurie, I'm in the same boat. My neighbors got a new puppy a few months ago but since they leave early in the morning and come home late, in between it just barks and barks and barks. It's a shame because its such a cutie, but it gets very little attention, even when they are home.

If it appears that no one is taking care of the dog, in so far as giving it food/water and a proper shelter from the elements, you should call Animal Control. It might not be the most neighborly thing to do, but you owe it to the animal to do something if intervention is required.

We had to do that back when we were living in Georgia and the neighbors were pissed, but as I told the husband, it was either we call Animal Control or call the police. I told him I figured he wouldn't want the cops on his doorstep for a disturbing the peace violation. Living in a subdivision with a HOA, there were noise ordinances and such.

Laurie, you can call the cops for noise ordinance. My mom did that once, and the people across the street from them finally started kenneling their dog indoors when they were at work. Dogs actually like kennels I discovered (after being initially horrified that anyone would do that). They feel comfortable in a kennel because their backs are protected so they don't have to be on alert.

Yeah...the puppy is inside...sounds like it's being kept on the enclosed back porch...they have a window open so we can hear it pretty good....I'm pretty sure the dog is being taken care of health wise....Hopefully it will get use to it's home, and not bark so much.....
