Carl
Four original members of the band War are touring as the Lowrider Band (legal issues keep them from using "War." I should be interviewing them in the next few days - if there's anything you'd like me to ask, please get your post on. They were around at a very interesting musical time and place, and I'm looking forward to hearing what that was like, and of course, learing all about their songs. Red Fish
End the parentheses, man! End the parentheses! ) There, did it for you. Ask them, "So, which one is War?"
Tenacious_Peaches
Don't sass Carl, young Namahage. If it wasn't for our fearless leader creating this fantastic site, you'd be watching cartoons right now. Show some respect. I don't have a specific question for War, but I would love to hear about some of their influences. Their music was so diverse. I always forget that they did "Why Can't We Be Friends" and "Low Rider". Good stuff.
logan01
Good Morning. Wikipedia has a decent history on them including backgrounds, influences, etc. Love their music. High end audio equipment was invented with War in mind. I wonder if a politician will steal that line?

logan01
Is there anything better than War and cartoons; Well, besides Screaming Yellow Zonkers, of course? :happybanana:

Carl
It's not like me to leave my parenthesis dangling like that. I had and extensive discussion with Harlod Brown of War on Wednesday, and it's quite a story. Imaging playing with Hendrix the night he died... Shawna
I just received Carl's Harold Brown interview tapes today for transcription. I promise I'll get on them this weekend and get them to Carl to write up the facts so you all can whet your healthy "War" appetites!
