RonJonSurfer
"Sgt. Pepper's" Voted Best Album Sleeve The Fab Four's 1967 album cover topped a survey by CD and DVD replication service Brandedmedia. The Beatles classic 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' has the best album sleeve of all time, according to a new poll. The Fab Four's 1967 album cover beat out competition from the artwork of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon,' in the survey by CD and DVD replication service Brandedmedia. In third place is The Rolling Stones' 'Sticky Fingers,' followed by Scissor Sisters' eponymous debut in fourth place. Rounding out the top five is Mike Oldfield's 'Tubular Bells.' bluesboy
Was that list just for the UK or worldwide ?
RonJonSurfer
I couldn't find anything on the brandedmedia website about this at all. They design packaging for DVD's & CD's...I don't think it differentiates between UK US.

Red Fish
I never thought Sgt. Pepper or Dark Side of the Moon were particularly attractive album covers. I think people were just voting for their favorite band or something.
edna
I don´t like Sgt Pepper´s cover. Nor Dark Side. Nor Sticky Fingers...
Farin
I never thought Sgt. Pepper or Dark Side of the Moon were particularly attractive album covers. I think people were just voting for their favorite band or something. or for one of the few covers they could remember...
Red Fish
Yeah, but then there're the Scissor Sisters' album in there... I just find that weird.

Farin
I think he meant that, opposed to the other ones, it's not that famous...
The Seeker
I know. My comment was a little out of place, but I had to say it.
Red Fish
I would've preferred Abbey Road over Sgt. Pepper. That album's got way better design. I've never heard of Mike Oldfield... am I missing out on something or was this poll just stupid?
Farin
Mike Oldfield is more of a composer, I think he didn't sing in one of his hits... "Shadow on the Wall", "Moonlight Shadow", "To France"...
Sweet Jane 61
I love The Beatles, but I don't think that would be my number one, if I could narrow it down to a number one cover. There are so many cool covers out there, off the top of my head some I like... Aladdin Sane Abbey Road Greetings From Asbury Park Houses of the Holy Tough list to make out and I don't want to strain my brain trying, that could cause some major damage! edna
I love "In the Court of the Crimson King", though everybody´s just scared at it... and I understand why. Abbey Road is also one of my favorites, I still remember when the album was released, all the girls went "Wow, have you seen his blue jeans??!!" (George Harrison´s jeans... )
Rayzor
Alot of people will disagree I am sure, but I think AC/DC's "Back in Black" should get some mention, both for it's simplicity and the deeper meaning...
