usernameddr
I remember hearing a song a while ago a few times. I remember listening to the radio and them saying something about it is the most well known songs by the group but it didn't chart because it wasn't released as a single. I think I remember hearing something about Talking Heads and I am not sure if it was by them or not. It was a song with low deep vocals that were sung at a fairly fast speed. I am pretty sure it was from the 80's. When I did a search for Talking Heads songs one came up with a title that caught my eye. It was Take Me To The River and I thought that might be what they were saying during the corus but I couldn't understand what they were saying so I am not sure of the lyrics... maybe something about a buffalo? But anyways, it's not that song and does anyone have any ideas? Edited December 25, 2006 by Guest solved

Charlie Clown
weird though - Once In A Lifetime was released as a single and did chart. Don't remember any lyrics about buffalos in there either....
edna
Once in a Lifetime The Talking Heads And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack And you may find yourself in another part of the world And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful Wife And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here? Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the moneys gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. And you may ask yourself How do I work this? And you may ask yourself Where is that large automobile? And you may tell yourself This is not my beautiful house! And you may tell yourself This is not my beautiful wife! Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the moneys gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...same as it ever was... Water dissolving...and water removing There is water at the bottom of the ocean Carry the water at the bottom of the ocean Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean! Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/in the silent water Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground. Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the moneys gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. And you may ask yourself What is that beautiful house? And you may ask yourself Where does that highway go? And you may ask yourself Am I right? ...am I wrong? And you may tell yourself My god!...what have I done? Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/in the silent water Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground. Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down Letting the days go by/water flowing underground Into the blue again/after the moneys gone Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground. Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was... Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
