TheLizard
I'm not surprised because of the magazine that this was published in, but "LA Women" should be there, not Courtney Love. What did The Doors ever do to Blender magazine?
Lexxi Marie
^ I was going to say that.. but the more I thought about it LA Woman is more about the "woman" in the song, not the city. While she is "another lost angel in the city of night" it's about her...
TheLizard
True, but isn't Free Fallin' about a girl?
RonJonSurfer
I guess we should find all 25 songs, but what about "I Love LA" Randy Newman???
Lexxi Marie
True, but isn't Free Fallin' about a girl? It is, I don't understand why that's up there as well :s My Dad and I are having a conversation and we both decided Going to California - Zeppelin should be there. Even though it's technically about San Fran - we came to a conclusion that in music when "california" is mentioned it's an LA reference by default. Hey, compton isn't the cliche` LA either Edited December 12, 2006 by Guest

Farin
on 25?? come on... and a note to the web designer: Why do I have to click through 25 pages to get to the #1? I hate pages like that...
Levis
Sad, sad, sad... no doubt about that. I think the list-maker put it there out of obligation and he doesn't really like the Chili Peppers.
Elvish
Maybe we could switch Courtney Love with RHCP?
daslied
Courtney Love has been banned from being in any way associated with anything else ending in "CP".

MindCrime
Having lived in East Los Angeles... I would not have identified with any of the Top Five for a list of local tunes. Sounds more like a soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto or something that bizarre. I'm feeling more in the way of "I hate this smog & traffic rush hour" would be in good tune for L.A. On a side note, my pick goes to Beach Boys' "California Girls" (more or less)
