by my virtually error-free accounting, everyone who has nominated (and one who didn't :) ) has voted - so Farin, it's all you now!

(I can't stand the suspense...)

And a hearty thank you to Dappled for those great stats. I love seeing stuff like that... 'specially when my songs are doing well. Which is certainly not the case this time... or any other time... oh hell. I like the stats anyway.

I get no satisfaction whatsoever from helping Depeche Mode into a Top 10 position: it's about the only song of theirs I have a sneaking liking for. On a musical level, it has a nifty tune and a cute little percussive break in the middle (a few seconds long) that I happen to like. Lyrically it's just Dep Mode's typical "could have been written by an 11 year old in English class" fare.

Now it's apparently regarded as some kind of "all-time great". Great! :(

Message curtailed due to technical difficulties.

Top Ten #44 - which will open tomorrow - will be a special Christmas Top Ten, where you can nominate your favorite Christmas songs - traditional or otherwise - but you must nominate a specific artist for that song.

I have two great ones already... :)

Sleep on it!
