RonJonSurfer
Here's a few more lists... Top 10 Songs with Great Videos 10. Video Killed The Radio Star :: The Buggles 9. Smells Like Teen Spirit :: Nirvana 8. Crazy :: Aerosmith 7. Addicted To Love :: Robert Palmer 6. November Rain :: Guns 'N Roses 5. Legs :: ZZ Top 4. Here I Go Again :: Whitesnake 3. Hot For Teacher :: Van Halen 2. Sledgehammer :: Peter Gabriel 1. Money For Nothing :: ire Straits These next songs didn't get enough votes to make the list because you were fixated on the Robert Palmer girls. Girls, Girls, Girls :: Motley Crue Touch Of Grey :: Grateful Dead Thriller :: Michael Jackson (Come on, like we'd play that one anyway) Don't Come Around Here No More :: Tom Petty Land Of Confusion :: Genesis These were suggestions also from the time when MTV played videos. Learn To Fly :: Foo Fighters Call Me Al :: Paul Simon Cherry pie :: Warrant We Built This City :: Starship
Farin
I, myself, don't like the Video to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" that much... and where's Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" (with Christopher Walken) "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys "Imitation of Life" by R.E.M. and one of the best Videos ever (imho) "Do the Evolution" by Pearl Jam (I could name a few dozen others)
Levis
I agree with the Smells Like Teen Spirit part... it isn't ALL that great. And I disagree with the Do the Evolution part... great video, yes... but top ten of all time? I'm surprised though - no Chili Peppers, no REM, no Foo Fighters... Farin
well, it's a matter of taste... and of course the Chili Peppers... "Aeroplane", "Californication", "Otherside", "Dani California" all great videos also, Björk has some really great videos...
daslied
I'd throw "Hurt" by Johnny Cash on there.
edna
"Subterranean Homesick Blues", Bob Dylan Maybe not that great but the first one...
MindCrime
Whitesnake seems a little high on this list, with or without Tawnya Kaeten (sp?); the video isn't all that rememberable.
Farin
^ I don't remember the Whitesnake video at all... "Subterranean Homesick Blues", Bob Dylan Maybe not that great but the first one... oh, I don't agree at all, edna! it IS a great one. brilliant in it's simplicity... Levis
I thought the same thing about the Whitesnake video. I don't even remember what it was...
TheLizard
There's really nothing special about the Smells Like Teen Spirit video. They're just playing in a gym. The "Smells Like Nirvana" video, on the other hand, is brilliant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixyTNd-Ln38 Edited December 1, 2006 by Guest

Farin
okay I justed watched the Whitesnake video again... and I can't believe that such a stupid and boring video would make the list, let alone on #4...
MindCrime
The Nirvana video helped make an impact on alternative music & helped it into the mainstream, it was also the same time that 80's hairbands (such as whitesnake) when out of style & rotation on mtv's airwaves. The Seeker
I watched the Whitesnake video--I've never seen it before, but I have to say it's only average. It shouldn't have made the list, there's much better stuff out there.
c_s_1987
Where's Bittersweet Symphony? Weapon Of Choice - Fatboy Slim The song isn't that great, but the video is one of the greatest of all time.
