blind-fitter
Never a big fan of the insufferably smug smart-arse, but surely Bugs Bunny's "What's up, doc?" merits a mention?

RonJonSurfer
Never a big fan of the insufferably smug smart-arse, but surely Bugs Bunny's "What's up, doc?" merits a mention? Good point. I assume that because Bugs was created for the big screen as "shorts" and not for TV....it may have been ignored. Yet, most of us know Bugs from TV. Crazy Don
Where's "Big bucks! No whammies!" from "Press Your Luck"? This was the line chanted by every contestant while they were spinning the board!
Tenacious_Peaches
I don't understand the distinction. There were a few political quotes that although they were shown on TV, I don't consider them to be TV catchphrases. Peter Tomarken was one of the greatest game show hosts ever. And I still occasionally blurt out, "No whammies!" for no reason at all.

Kevin
" Well , go-ll-y , Sargent ..." - Gomer Pyle USMC " WAAAAAAAAH ! " - Lucy "Twoallbeefpattiesspecialsaucelettucecheesepicklesonions...on a sesame seed bun . " - MacDonald's ( I was stunned to hear that Barry Mannilow wrote this ! ) I believe they were trying to cover all eras of TV to appeal to a wider group and missed a bunch in order to do so . Honestly - if " That's hot ! " has already entered TV legend , then Paris Hilton has done it all ! How does she come up with these beauties ? Genious !
