I didn't want to put Led Zeppelin at #1 for about the tenth time, but once again it was far and away my favourite song on this list.

Rach, I don't think there is anything wrong with having a competetive nature. That's why you are so successful in your studies and why your brain is probably 4 times bigger than mine.

Personally, I couldn't care less where my songs rank. Being incredibly self-centered, I know they are wonderful because I love them. Piss on everyone else.

I agree with you Madame Peaches, I'll nominate whatever I want and I don't give a rats if no one votes for them. I will

That said, I still can't get into the main site to update the facts :( :(

A note for Dappled (regarding the list posted earlier) - You have learnt a valuable lesson, but I assure you that you are not the first. :)

Ah, but you are now able to take the pebble from my hand, Grasshopper Chris.

The biggest mistake Dappled made was not putting me at #1.

:)

Talk to me Lars ! :P

We DO appreciate the statistics you come up with.

I don't want to resurrect discussion on 'the List', but right at this moment I'm hoping that I haven't caused too much embarrassment to Dappled.

He often presents some marvellous statistics to us that we all find really interesting. He's a good friend of mine (as I consider all of you to be) and it really disturbed me delete something which must have taken him so long to prepare, but I felt it was just too controversial.

Sorry Mate, but I've just got to call it as I see it. :P

No hard feelings at all, mate. Originally I saved the top ten info into a spreadsheet just for fun and also to record songs others thought were great but that I myself never have heard of so I could find them and have a listen myself sometime. It takes about 20 minutes each week to copy the info so it’s not a big deal. The list I posted just says, for example, that 7 % of all the songs I nominated made it into the top ten, because I choose to nominate obscure songs, B-sides noone has ever heard, album tracks, and so on, but nevertheless songs I like.

Did you know that still no song from 1969 has won the top ten? Well, hope one does this time! :)

BTW-96 Tears - ? & the Mysterians...the first song I learned to play on keyboard. Very easy. My buddy taught me on the chapel's electronic keyboard on post in Fischbach by Dahn, Germany in 1967.

This flashback brought to you by The US Army.

.

Joe, yeah, that's a neat little keyboard song. I have one of those Casio's that can sound like 500 different instruments....96 Tears sounds nice on the right setting....
