OLD 55
MORNING (OZ TIME) REVIEW. 1. It's Thanksgiving week and I bet that causes people to 1) be busier than usual in getting work done 2) travel.... Thanks Ron. That was rather thoughtless of me. I forgot that Thanksgiving is such an important Holiday in America - and I didn't know that Friday was also a Public Holiday. I think the concept of Thanksgiving, the Indians (Native Americans) helping the starving Settlers is a wonderful thing to celebrate. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of our American Friends. I'll PT Farin and probably we'll extend this Top Ten to a fortnight and have the voting next week. .................................................. 2. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen You Bugger Chris I thought I might have a #1 with Something/ The Beatles. ................................................. 3. Thanks Darryl, Could you please change my nomination to the Billy Swan's version of "I Can Help" Done, Judo Old Mate. ................................................. 4. Thanks Lars my friend. You have a great memory

OLD 55
Maybe I misread what CeeCee told me, but I took it to mean that Friday was a Public Holiday in the U.S. and many people would be making a "long weekend" of it and travelling, as RonJon said. Maybe it's a P/H just in some sectors ? Right now, weighing up Posts FOR and PTs AGAINST which I've received, I believe the fact that we've only recived nominations from 24 people is good enough reason to extend this Top Ten. I won't make it final yet, as I believe it is only common courtesy that I discuss it with Farin first. He or I will make a Post about it later. Lucky
This holiday has been traditionally a long weekend type holiday for a long time. Most private sector businesses are closed, however it has become the official start of the holiday shopping season. As a result, most all retail businesses, and service type businesses such as restuarants and banks are open. It's a toss up. One thing is sure. It is usually a very busy weekend for a lot of people between family, traveling and/or possible shopping expiditions. I believe that some who only access SF while at work in their offices and such may not be around, however, we all have known that it IS Thanksgiving week. Now with that clarification, you all make the call! I'm fine with whatever!
OLD 55
Thanks Sweet CeeCee. It's difficult enough to find anyone here on a normal weekend ! Your Postive comments, and those of RonJon have convinced me that we should extend this Top Ten. As I said, I'll just run it by Farin as a matter of courtesy, because he does most of the work here. Levis
It's all about the lyrics UNDER THE MILKY WAY The Church Sometimes when this place gets kind of empty Sound of their breath fades with the light I think about the loveless fascination Under the Milky Way tonight Lower the curtain down on Memphis Lower the curtain down all right I got no time for private consultation Under the Milky Way tonight Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find And it's something quite peculiar Something shimmering and white Leads you here despite your destination Under the Milky Way tonight Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find Under the Milky way tonight.. OLD 55
O.K. Farin and I have had further discussions, and he'll probably finalise the Nominations tomorrow morning U.S. Time and start the voting, but extend it as necessary into next week. Please nominate NOW if you haven't yet ! With your co-operation we could still have 2 Top Tens by the end of next week. I was going to wait until the end of Top Ten #40, but I'll tell you now, as a few people do already know. I'm taking an indefinite break after this Top Ten. Shawna will be taking over my Moderator job on our Threads, and will be assisting Farin, who carries a terrific work load. You've done a great job Mate. With her vast knowledge of music, Shawna will be a big asset to the Top Ten Team.
Shadows
I certainly want the top tens to keep going, but I have just been insanely busy recently with the national school exams. So I'm going to have to give this one a miss, cause I don't even have the time or energy to think of nominations. Maybe I will be able to vote once all the nominations have been announced

Thanks, Darryl - but I think you're giving me waaaay too much credit there.
