A song from the 60's maybe 70's

Sweet Jane 61

I head a song on the radio the other night, a classic rock station, I had never heard it before and I loved it. All I can remember from the lyrics is something about being pretty inside and outside. It had a folk feel to it, with male and female vocals. And I sat in the car to the end of the song, and the DJ did not back sell!! Ahhhhh!! Any help would be appreciated.

How about "Pretty As You Feel" by Jefferson Airplane?

------

You're only pretty as you feel

Only pretty as you feel inside

You're only pretty as you feel

Just as pretty as you feel inside

When you wake up in the morning

Rub some sleep from your eye

Look inside your mirror

Comb your hair

Don't give vanity a second chance

No, no, no

Beauty's only skin deep

It goes just so far 'cause

You're only pretty as you feel

You're only pretty as you feel inside

Just as pretty as you feel inside

Now you're feelin' pretty

Now you're feelin' good

Now you're ready to face the world girl

Now you're feelin' good

Go out there 'n' knock 'em silly girl

Go out there 'n' show 'em how to thrill

'Cause you're only pretty as you feel

Only pretty as you feel

You're only pretty as you feel

Just as pretty as you feel inside

Feelin' so pretty, feelin' so pretty

Pretty mama

Thanks for the welcome. I've been a member at Songfacts for some time now, just never posted. I am the proud winner of the October 2006 Songfacts quiz.

I listen to music all day at work and research it thoroughly, as I am also a songwriter/guitar player and am always looking at how and why songs have been written.

Looking forward to posting more in the future.

Peace and love

Jack

JackMonty,

do you have any favorite music research sites ?

I used to live in Spokane - 5 mile prairie and off Francis st

Blues-

I don't have any particular site really. My job allows me to surf most of the day, so I've gotten proficient at using the various search engines to find information. BTW - I'm on Spokane's southside by Manito Park.

To all - thanks for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to posting here in the future.
