Lou Reed Revisits 'Berlin'

He's playing his 1973 album in its entirety at shows beginning next month.

Lou Reed is to perform his critically-slammed 1973 album 'Berlin' at upcoming shows in his native New York and Australia.

The former Velvet Underground frontman always felt the album was greatly under-appreciated and he's hoping to make critics reconsider by playing the release in its entirety at shows beginning next month.

Reed tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I always thought it (album) was a masterpiece."

The rocker has commissioned artist and director Julian Schnabel to design the stage set for the shows and fellow New Yorker Antony Hegarty, of Antony & The Johnson, will provide background vocals.

Wow... :P he´s right, it´s a very under-rated album. But it was also very overrated in the 70s. It´s depressive but it´s great. Things were just like he tells it for some people. I never play it at home because people usually hates it. I find there´s many excellent songs...
