BlueAngel Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Looks like this could be it for Celtic. Hopefully Everton can avoid another pounding from SL Benfica.
RonJonSurfer Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Are you ready for some footballllll? You HAD to say football, huh?
Uncle Joe Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Football can be a strange game Ron. I'd have sworn the Giants would hand the Eagles their heads. I knew the Giants weren't going to beat the Saints. I thought they'd beat the Cards though and I was sure they'd beat the Birds. Manning was terrible and the Giants D backfield is porous. I guess the Giants aren't nearly as good as I thought and the Eagles not nearly as bad? We'll see. Cowboys this Sunday night. It's a long season. I do know however that the Redskins stink.
RonJonSurfer Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 I don't really have a probably with all of that...I meant that your football comment spawned soccer talk.
miamisammy29 Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Yeay, yeah, congratulations, Yankees fans. But they still suck! As for a rematch, that's not gonna happen. The Red Sox will be back next year. They, too, can spend 900 f***ing million dollars. And does anyone really think A.J. Burnett and CC Sabathia can remain uninjured for TWO full years in a row? No way! And next year is also the year that Mariano Rivera's arm finally falls off for good. And if it doesn't fall off naturally, I'll cut the damn thing off with my machete! The Phillies?....Eh, they have a chance to repeat...but that's only because the rest of the National League sucks. Anyway....ONLY 102 DAYS UNTIL SPRING TRAINING!! WHOO-HOO!!
pinkstones Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Yeay, yeah, congratulations, Yankees fans. But they still suck! Yup that's right. We suck all the way to the Canyon of Heroes. Suck, suck, suckity suck. There's 29 teams that would love to suck as much as we do, yours included.
Uncle Joe Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Pinkstones, as a moderator I feel I must warn you about the excessive use of the word suck.
pinkstones Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Pinkstones, as a moderator I feel I must warn you about the excessive use of the word suck. Hey, at least I didn't switch out the letter S for F.
Shawna Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 Hey, at least I didn't switch out the letter S for F.
TheLizard Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Hey, at least I didn't switch out the letter S for F. Yankees f**kin' suck!
MindCrime Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Football can be a strange game Ron. The NFC East is the hardest division in the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised if 3 teams from this division make the playoffs.
Batman Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 The Oregon Ducks are totally killing it this year. And our badass running back is going to get to come back later in the season and punch more people in the face. It's a good season to be a UO fan.
Batman Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 2. Spelling and grammar count, as do spelling our players' names right. That should be "as does spelling our players' names right." I'm usually not one to be so snobby about grammar, but I do find it really funny to point out grammar mistakes when someone else is complaining about grammar or advising others to use correct grammar. In fact, I don't even use correct grammar half the time! Ha ha
Farin Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 That should be "as does spelling our players' names right." I'm usually not one to be so snobby about grammar, but I do find it really funny to point out grammar mistakes when someone else is complaining about grammar or advising others to use correct grammar. That's called Muphry's Law
Batman Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Ha ha, that's pretty funny, and totally true.
Steel2Velvet Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Ohio State Buckeyes finally looked formidable against a good team, Penn State. Should make for an interesting remainder of the college football season.
Farin Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Robert Enke, the goalkeeper of Hannover 96 - also one National Team goalkeeper - threw himself in front of a train yesterday evening
Farin Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Probably depressions, he was under medical treatment for that also he and his wife just adopted a baby girl in march of this year
Uncle Joe Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Robert Enke, the goalkeeper of Hannover 96 - also one National Team goalkeeper - threw himself in front of a train yesterday evening Did he make the save?
