MarcM
Stage 7 of the AMGEN Tour Of California Bike Race starts tomorrow about a mile from my house and gets as close as 2 blocks. It has been on the cable sports channels, so if you want to see my neighborhood, here is your chance!

MarcM
I wont be there to see it. I will be in the Mojave desert with my wife, Mya and about 15 other people off roading/exploring.
MarcM
they're all using doping anyway The important thing is that you will be able to see where I live and the mountains where I used to patrol. The race is merely a vehicle for this rare experience......

Lucky
The race finishes in northeastern San Diego County (Palomar Mountain), actually several miles (ok, maybe a 35 minute drive) from our place on the coast. It's a huge deal here. It's the first California race Armstrong has participated in in 4 years, so he's apparently a big draw. MarcM
They were saying that there were 1.2 million people along the route. That is quite a lot for a sport that is not nearly as big here as it is in Europe. We even have the wack jobs that dress up and run along side the pack. The race is covered on the "Vs" network here. It is broadcast worldwide. This is the 3rd year it has gone through my town and the 2nd time leg 7 has started here.

phil
Oh Well. Syracuse shot the heck out of the ball today. I'm still proud of my team. 25 wins this year.
The Seeker
Pretty nice day. Northern Ireland won, Scotland won, England won, Germany won, and most importantly, Ireland secured a draw against Italy. That's the world champion, in case you forgot. Hopefully that'll do wonders for Ireland's motivation in the runners-up play offs. And of course San Marino lost 0:10 () and Bolivia are beating the cr*p out of Argentina. Farin
I think I remember why... didn't they have a stadium at 3000m above sea level? of course a 6:1 is quite extreme nonetheless
