miamisammy29
You've got to admit, it's a great story.... Great story?! It's a f***ing UNBELIEVABLE story! I thought it was April Fool's Day when you first posted it, but then I looked at the calendar. I fell asleep early yesterday, so I didn't see the Sportscenter. Uncle Joe
That Podolski is a malingerer.
Farin
he had some knee injury and while that seems to be okay again, he couldn't play because he has the "flu" *eye-rolling smiley* (I had to search for that info too )

The Seeker
I watched a few minutes of the match... Well, England's not quite Ireland. That's why they lost.
phil
The Texas Rangers scored 30 runs in one game. It takes my Padres 29 games to score 30 runs!
Uncle Joe
Phil, for your sake I hope that Sammy doesn't have any Rangers on his team in fantasy baseball.
phil
I lucked out, he only had one. Whoever has Saltammachia did well.
Rayzor
30 runs in a game! The Blue Jays have only manufactured 28 runs... since 2004
TheLizard
You know your team is bad when you keep coming in last in the same division as the Orioles and the Devil Rays.

Red Fish
The Rangers haven't not sucked in over a decade. I'm starting to think they had like a +3 bat of hitting or something, and the pitcher was seriously underleveled. ERA = EXP. Think about it. Farin
"He cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's all right." George Best sums up the many talents of David Beckham. 50 greatest sporting insults (concentrates mainly on English sports, but there's also a few about American football)
miamisammy29
I thought these two should have been ranked higher: #27: "Lie down so I can recognise you." Willie Pep, the American featherweight boxer, when asked by an old opponent if he recognised him. #25: "Eighty per cent of the top 100 women are fat pigs who don't deserve equal pay." Richard Krajicek, the 1996 Wimbledon champion, on why there should not be equal pay. Later, he clarified his comments, saying, "What I meant to say was that only 75 per cent are fat pigs." Charming. Uncle Joe
Krajicek's rectal. Everybody knows that only about 50% are fat pigs. And they rarely ever win. Uh, except maybe for Serena Williams.

Crazy Don
College football final today: Appalachian State 34, Michigan 32. Whoda thunk the Mountaineers (not WVU) would have beaten the Wolverines?
phil
^ I think that is great. Punking Michigan in their own house. OUCH!
TheLizard
Nobody watched the Notre Dame game yesterday, did they? Not that you could call it a game. I was there. I'm still seething. At least the campus visit went well. It's a freaking great place. The only problem now is getting in. Although if I do get in, and things don't change, I may have to make other plans for Saturdays. } At least we didn't lose to Appalachian State!
