Steel2Velvet
1. Time Won’t Let Me - The Outsiders High energy relief from a chart filled with ballads, this tune features an unforgettable staccato guitar riff 2. Upside Down - Jack Johnson No tatoos creeping along the neck, no multiple facial piercings, no outrageous costuming; how good could this act be? Pretty darn good. 3. Four Strong Winds - Ian & Sylvia Am not surprised this relatively obscure song and down-to-good-earth act was nominated. Just surprised I didn't do it .. and sooner. 4. I Hope You Dance - Leann Womack As a result of this hit, Leann is reluctantly compared to Dolly Parton, interpreting Mark Sanders' words of enduring encouragement to his daughter, for children everywhere .. even me. 5. Joy To The World - Three Dog Night Holt Axton penned ode to partying! Great fun - great group! 6. Alice's Restaurant - Arlo Guthrie The only 28 minute song that I have ever kept on "repeat play" in my CD player while on a long drive. 7. I Can't Help Myself - The Four Tops When I hear the appellation, "Motown"; this is the song I think of. 8. Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who But we did; didn't we? 9. Tighten Up - Archie Bell & The Drells 10. Jealous Guy - John Lennon

CanAm
1. Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who. Sorry, Darryl, but this is my favourite song by The Who. Dr. Gregory House likes it too. 2. Help Me - Joni Mitchell. Another great song by this fabulous artist. Great nomination RonJon! 3. Comes A Time - Neil Young 4. Four Strong Winds - Ian & Sylvia. I'm really getting my dose of Canadian content this time around. 5. You Are The Sunshine Of My Life - Stevie Wonder 6. Knockin' On Heaven's Door - Bob Dylan 7. It's All Over Now - The Rolling Stones. Not my favourite rendition of this classic, but a good tune, nonetheless. 8. Separate Ways - Journey 9. Joy To The World - Three Dog Night. That Hoyt Axton was one talented songwriter. 10. Brownsville/Mockingbird - Joy Of Cooking. This narrowly beat our Dylan's Don't Think Twice It's Alright.

Lucky
I'm so sorry I missed nominating this time! I've had a terrible time with my computer (again...down with Dell!), am I allowed to vote? Otherwise I'll just wait until next time. I think this may be the first I've missed! Darryl.....it also appears I've missed yours and Vals anniversary! I do hope it was as happy a one as you both deserve, and this one should have been especially meaningful for you! OLD 55
BTW where were all these Kids (and not so Kids)when I nominated The Who's best song "Substitute" ? It was flat out sneaking into the Top Ten ! Isn't there something inscribed on Keith Moon's tombstone like "there will never be a substitute" (for him)? I think the keyboard's the best part of all 8 1/2 minutes plus of "Won't Get Fooled Again" (WGFA). Let's see what happens when I nominate "Happy Jack". At 2 minutes 10 seconds it'll probably only get a quarter of the votes that WGFA does.
