Steel2Velvet
Dang, if I knew so many people would vote for "No Quarter" I'd have put it higher on my list. What does that mean? That your choices were not, but could have been, influenced by others; or that they should have been?
daslied
It would've gotten more points, Ron. When I nominated it I didn't think it would get very many points, being kind of a lesser-known Zep song, and I only put it third or somewhere on my list. Steel2Velvet
Understood, John. I would hope (and I am sure this is what is done in most cases) that we just vote the way we feel at that moment and let the whole thing work itself out. Like any governing system, it's the 'politics' of a thing that can creep in and distort its intrinsic worth. I'll lighten up now. Did you hear the one about .... ? Malakin
I didn't hear that one, how's it go?
Steel2Velvet
Did you hear about the world's greatest lawyer? Got his client's felonious 'Beastiality' conviction reduced to a misdemeanor, 'Following Too Closely.'
bazooka
1.Yeh Yeh -- Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames. Mine may be the only vote for this song. It's certainly understandable because others may not know it, but bazooka has dug it for decades You'll have to find it more exciting than the audience or host Brian Epstein did in this Hullabaloo clip. 2. Locomotive Breath -- Jethro Tull 3. Down By The River -- Neil Young with Crazy Horse 4. Higher Ground -- Stevie Wonder 5. Take Me To The Pilot -- Elton John 6. Do You Love Me ? -- The Contours 7. Is She Really Going Out With Him ? -- Joe Jackson 8. Cry To Me -- Freddie Scott 9. Higher Love -- Steve Winwood 10. OLD 55
Good pickup Lizard. If Judo sees this, would you please like to list your Ten again ? If not, I'll leave that one to Farin ! Either he'll leave out "Because", or include it at #8 and move the others down. See, that's why he's paid big $$$.
OLD 55
Dang, if I knew so many people would vote for "No Quarter" I'd have put it higher on my list. Just proves my point that the young Zep fans would vote for "Robert Plant Burping", Das.
TheLizard
Hey, No Quarter actually is one of my favorite Zeppelin songs. Besides, I wouldn't put Robert Plant burping any higher than five.
OLD 55
Lizard, this weekend, why don't you twiddle with the dial of your radio and find a nice AM station that plays real Oldies POP songs. Special 3 for the price of one. As most Oldies Pop songs were around 3 minutes, you'd hear 3 instead of a ten minute Epic that some 'FM Robot' plays. TheLizard
Well I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear that I've just finished listening to "You've Lost That Lovin Feelin". But now I'm listening to the Beatles. Ah, the joys of internet radio.
OLD 55
Lizard, I've always thought you were pretty Cluey, and that proves it ! Do you know that I consider "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" the #1 song of the Rock Era ? That's a few brownie points to you.
TheLizard
I assume that "Cluey" is a compliment?
OLD 55
It sure is ! Cluey = smart, knows what he/she is talking about, as opposed to "hasn't got a bloody clue" ! I forget a lot of people there don't speak Australian (which is nothing like English at times).

Dappled
1.Yeh Yeh -- Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames. Mine may be the only vote for this song. It's certainly understandable because others may not know it, but bazooka has dug it for decades You'll have to find it more exciting than the audience or host Brian Epstein did in this Hullabaloo clip. I've dug Georgie Fame for 40 years, Bazooka. I bought the Yeh Yeh LP in 1966 and it has gems like Sitting in the Park and Last Night. Groovy record! edna
Yeh Yeh is a classic, I had the single when I was a child and I also remember covers by Sylvie Vartan and some Spanish version by I don´t know who...
