"In your eyes" goth electro song

Hi, a friend of mine borrowed me a cd telling me that it was a Ronny Moorings solo album. The cd is amazing, so I wanted to look for lyrics but I haven't found anything.

I think it's not a Ronny Moorings album because the voice is different but it may be also because the cd has 11 tracks and the last one is kind of classical music, similar to "piano piece" (track 10 of COX's Hidden Faces album) and the mood is similar to Clan of Xymox would do, specially in the 80's

The first song may be called "in your eyes" because he repeats that phrase many times. The "chorus" says "I've seen the light/in your eyes/in your eyes/in your eyes". The song is 5:19 min long, it sounds like dark/goth techno, and the mood of the songs is very much like cox but it's not. I've been looking for a long time on internet but haven't found anything yet.

The tracklist:

1. "In your eyes" 5:19

2. 5:03

3. 7:54

4. 5:04

5. 4:09

6. 5:41

7. 4:42

8. 5:08

9. 5:07

10. 5:37

11. 3:03

If anybody knows something about this, please help me! This album is brilliant!

I'll take a stab and state the obvious: could it be "In Your Eyes" written by Peter Gabriel? (lyrics below) It was recorded by a band called SR-71. I'm not familiar with their music, but they're played on 91X in San Diego, and that's a cutting-edge music station.

In Your Eyes

love I get so lost, sometimes

days pass and this emptiness fills my heart

when I want to run away

I drive off in my car

but whichever way I go

I come back to the place you are

all my instincts, they return

and the grand facade, so soon will burn

without a noise, without my pride

I reach out from the inside

in your eyes

the light the heat

in your eyes

I am complete

in your eyes

I see the doorway to a thousand churches

in your eyes

the resolution of all the fruitless searches

in your eyes

I see the light and the heat

in your eyes

oh, I want to be that complete

I want to touch the light

the heat I see in your eyes

love, I don't like to see so much pain

so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away

I get so tired of working so hard for our survival

I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive

and all my instincts, they return

and the grand facade, so soon will burn

without a noise, without my pride

I reach out from the inside

in your eyes

the light the heat

in your eyes

I am complete

in your eyes

I see the doorway to a thousand churches

in your eyes

the resolution of all the fruitless searches

in your eyes

I see the light and the heat

in your eyes

oh, I want to be that complete

I want to touch the light,

the heat I see in your eyes

in your eyes in your eyes

in your eyes in your eyes

in your eyes in your eyes

I doubt it's Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" mainly because a lot of us know how that song sounds and, two, because Ronny Moorings' vocals and music sound different than anything Peter Gabriel ever released.

What the OP is describing is "Medusa" by Clan Of Xymox, off their 1986 lp, Medusa. It's the title track. My favourite from it is "Louise" (I think it's track 5 or 6) - veeeeery depressynthy :beatnik: This is, of course, eons better than anything Clan Of Xymox has been releasing in the past decade. In fact, you cannot go wrong with anything they released in the 80s. Once Anke Wolbert and Peter Nooten were off the band, the sound changed drastically... for the worse. Hidden Faces is the only album which is good after that.
