1.Monster Hop. Bert Convy, the same guy that would make a name for himself hosting tv game shows and he also did a quite of bit of acting on tv series shows. My friend had an old 45 recording of this and we use to dress up and he would play the Monster Hop as we gave out goodies to the kids. This was about 30 years ago.

2. Ms. Ghost. Don Henley. This has quite interesting lyrics that are somewhat suggestive and somewhat erotic.

Death Walks Behind You - Atomic Rooster ("a record of almost freakish beauty" - allmusic.com)

Brief Candles - The Zombies

I just had to have something by the Zombies for Halloween, but I couldn't find suitable titles. I funally settled for Brief Candles from Odessey & Oracle.

Adding 3 good songs:

Marie Laveaux - Dr Hook

You're Not a Bad Ghost - Melanie

The Devil Came From Kansas - Procol Harum

Marie Laveau

Down in Lou´siana where the black trees grow

Lives a voodoo lady named Marie Laveaux.

She got a black cat tooth and a mojo bone,

And anyone wouldn´t leave her alone.

She go GREEEEEEEEEEEE...

Another man done gone.

She live in a swamp in a hollow log

With a one-eyed snake and a three-legged dog.

She got a bent bony body and stringy hair,

And if she ever seen you messin´ round there,

She go GREEEEEEEEEEEE...

Another man done gone.

And then one night when the moon was black,

Into the swamp came Handsome Jack.

A no-good man like you all know,

And he was lookin´ around for Marie Laveaux .

He said, "Marie Laveau, you lovely witch,

Why don´t you gimme a little charm that´ll make me rich.

Gimme million dollars, and I´ll tell you what I´ll do...

This very night I´m gonna marry you."

It´ll be UMMMMMMMM...

Another man done gone.

So Marie did some magic and she shook a little sand,

Made a million dollars, and she put it in his hand.

Then she looked and she said , "Hey hey,

I´m gettin´ ready for my wedding day."

But ol´ Handsome Jack said "Good-bye Marie.

You too damn ugly for a man like me."

So Marie started shakin´, her fangs started gnashin´,

Her body started shakin´, and her eyes started flashin´.

She went GREEEEEEEEEEEE...

Another man done gone.

So if you ever get down where the black tree grow

And meet a voodoo lady named Marie Laveaux,

And if she ever asks you to make her your wife,

Man, you better stay with her for the rest of your life

Or it´ll be GREEEEEEEEEEEE...

Another man done gone.

Well I haven't kicked in with mine yet. They'll be brilliant of course. ;)

How about poor UncleJoe ? I think just about all the ones he mentioned in that Halloween CD he made up have been pilfered by others. (Haunted House, by Jumpin' Gene Simmons was first mentioned by him !)

Got some more for us Joe ???

I like their's better ! :)

You've probably seen old footage of Screamin Jay emerging from his coffin when he used to perform the song. That's when he was alive.

He was a shocker. A few of the songs he did were banned from radio play because of their lyrics, but I really only know 'I Put A Spell'.

*** Dracula's Tango Lyrics

The moon was shining in the night

The hounds were baying under simple stars

And as you storm under the lights

I knew my heart would be at stake

Am I just another victim?

Coz I never can resist him

Oh don't, don't go

You're gentle touch

Is what I need so much and

Dracula la la I'm a sucker for your love

When you do do do what you do to me

And you la la la now I've got you in my blood

Supernatural love's getting through to me

Dracula la la I'm a sucker for your love

When you do do do what you do to me

And you la la la now I've got you in my blood

Don't you know dear Count it's a mystery?

Prima Donna I'm yours

Even though you have the cross to bear

We take the mirror off the doors

And snuggle in our double tomb

Coz your castle is a nightmare

You've got batty friends who live there

Oh please, just squeeze

I go insane don't tap my windowpane

Dracula la la I'm a sucker for your love

When you do do do what you do to me

And you la la la now I've got you in my blood

Supernatural love's getting through to me

Got to get my teeth in you

Necking is the thing to do

Even though they never know it

Positive or not

You and I coagulate

Vitalise a dying rate

Dracula my dear

You know I'm after every drop

Get into a different vein

R.I.P is all the same

I was bitten now I'm trying

Transylvania

You're the coffin I'm the key

We tune up in harmony

I'll do anything for you

Except for mania

Dracula la la I'm a sucker for your love

When you do do do what you do to me

And you la la la now I've got you in my blood

Supernatural love's getting through to me

Dracula la la I'm a sucker for your love

When you do do do what you do to me

And you la la la now I've got you in my blood
