Yoda
Hello! Haven't visited in a while. I'm hoping you guys can help me... I heard this song on the radio today... I'm pretty sure that it's either a brand new song or at least from within the past year or so. It's a female singer...sounds like Jewel, but the voice was slightly deeper than Jewel's and a little bit raspy-sounding. The song was slow, but with an upbeat (think "Again and Again" by Jewel)...and the only words I can remember are "It's gonna be alright" in the chorus, I believe. I know it's not much at all to go on... but if anyone has any idea...please let me know! Thanks! Edited October 8, 2006 by Guest clarifying subject... Tionne
Is it a R&B/hip hop song? If so, it might be Some Other Place by Keyshia Cole featuring Remy Ma.
Yoda
Hey Daizelle, No...I don't think it was R&B or hip hip. It sounded more pop/rock. But I'll check on the song you mentioned just in case.
Yoda
Ok, I listened to the Keyshia Cole song...and that's not the one I heard on the radio. Thanks, though, Daizelle!
janetlee
It's not a new song by any means, but I thought of the song by Rita Coolidge called "we're All Alone". I seriously doubt it's the song you're looking for, but it's a good one! janet
Uncle Joe
That is a good one, Janetlee. I love Coolidge's cover of the great Boz Scaggs song. Rita is surely the Queen of the Covers.
Yoda
Hiya Janet! Thanks for the suggestion. That wasn't the song I'm looking for. But it's a nice one!
Sebas
It reminded me of the Pet Shop Boys song, "It's Gonna be alright", and theres' a lady singing "on and on and on and on"
Yoda
Thanks Sebas. I'll check into this one. But I'm pretty sure it was a female vocalist singing this song. Edited November 18, 2006 by Guest
Uncle Joe
Couldn't be "Everything's Alright" by Yvonne Elliman, could it?
indigoboo
Not at all new, but Danny's Song covered by Anne Murray fits this bill Lyrics: People smile and tell me I'm the lucky one And we've just begun, I think I'm gonna have a son He will be like you and me, as free as a dove Conceived in love, the sun is gonna shine above CHORUS And even though we ain't got money I'm so in love with ya honey Everything bring a chain of lo-o-o-o-ve And in the mornin' when I rise Bring a tear of joy to my eyes And tell me everything's gonna be all right Love a guy who holds the world in a paper cup Drink it up, love him and he'll bring you luck And if ya find he helps your mind, better take him ho-ome Yeah 'n' dontcha live alone, try to earn what lovers own CHORUS
