Otokichi
At last one doesn't have to rely on memories, but merely pull up a video feed from the days of VCR. What I remember from less high tech times were recorded on the odd reel-to-reel or cassette tape recorder, a camera on a rickety tripod loaded with dodgy B&W film, or a written synopsis/journal. These days, not even safely dead TV appears on DVD, so one can follow the exploits of Sgt. Chip Saunders (The late Vic Morrow) & company on the early-Vietnam-era series, "Combat!" (And even the supposedly lost B&W seasons of "The Avengers" or "Rocky & Bullwinkle" have made time travel possible with only a DVD player.) Hmm, is "Hennesey" or "Whirlybirds" out there, alongside "Have Gun Will Travel"?
