c_s_1987
All you have to do here is identify the album covers that I have altered. Once they have been identified, someone else can alter some album covers and post them for the rest of us to guess. The white areas on the covers are to cover up band names and album titles. 1. 2. 3. Dappled
Keep on guessing. These guys haven't been mentioned here in Songfacts that I know of so it's kind of hard. Here's another pic of the album: A clue: They did a good song out of a poem by Matthew Arnold! I'm back in a few hours

Dappled
The Fugs - Tenderness Junction The poem is Dover Beach (1851) and the text is beautiful and melancholic. The Fugs sing only the last part, from "Ah, love...": The sea is calm to-night. The tide is full, the moon lies fair Upon the straits; on the French coast the light Gleams and is gone; the cliffs of England stand; Glimmering and vast, out in the tranquil bay. Come to the window, sweet is the night-air! Only, from the long line of spray Where the sea meets the moon-blanched land, Listen! you hear the grating roar Of pebbles which the waves draw back, and fling, At their return, up the high strand, Begin, and cease, and then again begin, With tremulous cadence slow, and bring The eternal note of sadness in. Sophocles long ago Heard it on the A gaean, and it brought Into his mind the turbid ebb and flow Of human misery; we Find also in the sound a thought, Hearing it by this distant northern sea. The Sea of Faith Was once, too, at the full, and round earth's shore Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furled. But now I only hear Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar, Retreating, to the breath Of the night-wind, down the vast edges drear And naked shingles of the world. Ah, love, let us be true To one another! for the world, which seems To lie before us like a land of dreams, So various, so beautiful, so new, Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light, Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain; And we are here as on a darkling plain Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight, Where ignorant armies clash by night. c_s_1987
I decided it's probably best to stick to popular albums, but alter them a fair bit to make them hard to recognise. Make sure not to make them completely unrecognisable. I have just been using Paint Shop Pro to alter the covers, then hosting them with imageshack.us. RonJonSurfer
Ha ha... The Fugs... I didn´t know this record, Dappled... nor The Fugs Maybe you should post another one... One of my many business ventures included finding hard-to-find albums for people when i was in college. I was searching record stores all over the country for my own benefit, why not find an album and charge a fee for locating it??? I was once asked to find a Fugs album and I did. I always listened to them before delivering the goods (most were used albums). I seem to recall not really liking The Fugs.

Skuff
I figured out how to alter without PaintShop, you only need a Windows program called "Paint"(It's what I use to make my avvy's) Example: Here's how:Get an original album cover, and copy it to "Paint", Hit CTRL and I together, and white out with The paintbrush. (I know it's not my turn, but I needed to post this! Somebody Guess!)
