Tenacious_Peaches
I am very pleased that "What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted" by Jimmy Ruffin made the top ten. I love, love, love that song. I may be insane, but I feel like I've nominated "Dream On" before. So yay for that!
edna
I love "What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted" too... I must admit that I never heard the Aerosmith song that made #1... and I´m very surprised that a spanish song "Black is black" made it to # 9. Malakin
Yay! I got me a number 8.. That's my first entry in lists and lists and lists.... Good list, Dream On's a classic. Aerosmith, IMO, never got better than that.
Steel2Velvet
"Black Is Black" by Los Lobos Among the first 1960's "one hit wonders" any other Los Lobos recording never came close to the hit power of their debut to America. The driving beat and crystal clean Gene-Pitneylike lead vocals make this the definitive version of an often covered song.
Sweet Jane 61
Cool that Aerosmith hit number one, and Bowie near the top...awesome! Thought that Ray Charles and/or The Miracles might hit the top 10, oh well, maybe another time.
Shawna
I may be insane, but I feel like I've nominated "Dream On" before. So yay for that! I know someone has nominated it before... in fact, I thought it had made the Top 10 and had to have a keek at the ultimate list.

I don´t know "Black is Black" by Los Lobos...
Farin
I must admit that I never heard the Aerosmith song that made #1... it's a cool song... our current #1 and I think it was sampled recently by some rapper...
Levis
I almost left it out of my list. Accidentally... I didn't notice I had missed it till I had another look at the votes. And I seem to remember it being nominated before.

Steel2Velvet
Are we talking about the same song, Ron? I don´t know "Black is Black" by Los Lobos... Thanks for catching my typo, Edna. The original group was Los Bravos, of course. duh
c_s_1987
My first number one! I never expected to get number one this time, as I've nominated quite a few songs that I think are more popular than Dream On. I think this must be our first renomination to hit #1 - not too surprising since we have had at least two renominations at #2.
OLD 55
Thanks again to everyone, including some friends' Posts I haven't acknowledged and also PTs and Emails. After starting out very positive I've let the worry gremlins in. Even if you're not religious or don't believe in God, please say a prayer for me and my Family*, because I do. *You're part of my extended Family. Judo
Hello there Old 55, I've been away just two days on an extended ME weekend and missed so much. I am so sorry to hear that you need surgery. Not much of a church goer, but like the many sonfactors I too will pray for you, especially on the 5th. I am sure that you, Val and the kids will take comfort that you have so many well wishers here on songfacts who will be storming Heaven with our prayers. Alyssa and Christopher will say a special bedtime prayer each night for their grandfather; God hears the kiddies first.
TheLizard
Dream On! Possibly the greatest ballad ever. I'll admit I choked up when I saw them perform this live at the T-Dome. On the other hand... I need to stop nominating loud songs, I did crappy again!
