I'm sure I've voted for some if your nominations before. I don't think anyone here has crap taste, we're all just different, which is good, otherwise we'd be nominating the same stuff week in, week out. Old55, are you serious about Eric Clapton?? I've already lined up my much-suffering friends for The Who, supposidly hitting our shores next year too.
OLD 55
Hi Katie. Are The Who coming too ? I wonder if they'll come to Brisbane. Yes, we heard on the radio this morning that Eric Clapton will be in Oz in February next year (first time since end of the 80s, early 90s?). Steel2Velvet
... strapping? What IS that exactly? Is that like wearing strips of cloth? Or is someone "strapping" able to strap an item better than someone else can? And why do we only hear of strapping YOUNG men? Are there no old ones out there? OLD 55
Steel, I agree. Why should it be just young men. strapping, adj. Tall, robust and strongly built. Come to think of it, my bust isn't as ro as it used to be !
CanAm
If by strapping you mean someone who needs his tummy strapped in by a corset, then I am indeed strapping!! It's so nice to be considered young for a change. I work with a lot of twenty and thirty somethings who sometimes make me feel like Methuselah. I guess you're only as old as you feel. Right now I feel like a youngster. My wife is in Kitchener, Ontario this weekend giving a lecture at a biomechanics conference, so I am a single parent for 2 days. I took the kids to an amusement park and for a few hours I felt like a kid again. Woohoo!!
rtstuff
I've been strapped before, but I won't tell by whom. One thing for sure it wasn't Sharon Stone.
