rtstuff
My first one will be dedicated to RonJon and the rest of those that "Catch" a Wave. 1. "California Sun" The Rivieras. This tune was featured in Robin Williams' "Good Morning Viet Nam". 2. "War" Edwin Star rtstuff Hey RonJon does the water ever warm up down on the Jersey shore? I was at a place in '87 I believe called Surf Side. It was in June and the water was like a West Virginia mountain stream.
bazooka
Lay Down (Candles In The Rain ) -- Melanie Like your Melanie nom too. She is a great writer. I like the mood of this song a lot, and the support from The Edwin Hawkins Singers gives it a big boost. I hadn't investigated the lyrics (which could be considered just a touch 'crypto-hippy' for my usual tastes) until recently. Let your white birds smile At the ones who stand and frown ------------------ Unfortunately, Melanie's biggest hit, the cutesy Brand New Key, help push her career into the bushes. OLD 55
CeeCee sent me this PT with her nominations a few days ago. She's having some computer trouble, but will try to get to another computer to vote. I Don't Need No Doctor ~ Humble Pie Do You Feel Like We Do ~ Peter Frampton If you would submit these for me please. I'll try to get online next week for voting. ................................................ I wouldn't be surprised if we had another female #1 this Top Ten. That crafty bazooka has been peeking at my Lista again. Also a couple of great Bee Gees' proteges' songs from Peaches. Good to see a top Elvis one nominated, even though I like the "B" side of that 45 better. And Chuck Berry !Lots of other wonderful songs too. More difficult decisions ! I was at a place in '87 I believe called Surf Side. It was in June and the water was like a West Virginia mountain stream. It is still cool in June. July and August routinely have water temps over 70...September has the warmest water temps of all...always low to mid 70's....but the air can start to get a bit nippy then....
