OLD 55
RonJon said: Theme from A Summer Place - Percy Faith Orchestra Run To Me - Bee Gee's I am leaving for a meeting in Atlantic City shortly and then a few days at my favorite beach, Wildwood Crest. I won't be around to vote, but these two would be my one and two (for what that's worth). Well, using my discretion, I think that your intention is worth 10 and 9 Points for those 2 songs, RonJon, if nobody objects to that ? This HAS happened for someone else once before. Have a nice time.

Dappled
Tobacco Road -- Nashville Teens The Nashville Teens backed Jerry Lee Lewis on his Live at the Star Club, Hamburg-album , considered one of the best live rock and roll albums ever. From Wikipedia: "Stephen Thomas Erlewine writes, 'Live at the Star Club is extraordinary - the purest, hardest rock & roll ever committed to record .. Compared to this.. the Stooges sound constrained, hardcore punk seems neutered, and the Sex Pistols sound like wimps.'" Wonder if there's a video somewhere from that performance. OLD 55
And what a fantastic T.V. Show Shindig was edna. I used to like those Go Go Girls. The Righteous Brothers, Darlene Love & The Blossoms, Bobby Sherman were all 'resident' Acts at one stage + all the great guests. I think I first saw the incomparable Jackie Wilson on there. Memories !

Tenacious_Peaches
Here's where you can find Garth doing Deep Water. I was so excited when I clicked on that link because I thought I would be able to listen to a snippet of the song. But nooooooooooo...it's the only song without a snippet. So I went to amazon.com and found a snippet there. Thanks, bluesy, for the info. And thanks, Judo, for supporting my country nominations.
katie_sane
Because of the Top Ten, I have discovered artists (Cold Chisel and Heroes Del Silencio for example) that I had never heard of until now and as a result, I will probably seek out more music by these artists. I'm the same, I try to listen to all the songs on the ten, even some that have been nominated. CanAm, so glad you like Cold Chisel! They're one of my favourite bands! My nominations: The Wall Street Shuffle - 10cc Driver's Seat - Sniff 'n' The Tears
Sweet Jane 61
I need to replace my Marvin Gaye nomimation, it was put in the daily top 10....so here is my replacement... Janis Joplin ~ Ball and Chain
bluesboy
You're welcome Judo. I was so excited when I clicked on that link because I thought I would be able to listen to a snippet of the song. But nooooooooooo...it's the only song without a snippet. I'm glad you found a sample at amazon. Deep Water is the only song on the Bob Wills tribute album that wasn't done in the studio with Ray Benson(leader of) and Asleep at the Wheel. Garth does it with his band and sent the tape to Ray.
