Uncle Joe Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 SWEET SOUL MUSIC-Arthur Conley How many times does he switch hands with the microphone? Why didn't this guy have more hits?
Elvish Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 How many times does he switch hands with the microphone? Eighteen, I think...although it's hard to count during the close-up
Elvish Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 What did we win? Manhattan Clam Chowder?
bazooka Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Arthur Conley ... Why didn't this guy have more hits? That's hard to say. I'd sure like to hear some of his other records ( Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da , Day-O , Aunt Dora's Soul Love Shack ). I didn't know about the Otis Redding / Arthur Conley connection. Also check out his live performance of Sweet Soul Music that I posted earlier on in this thread !!

_Laurie_ Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 (edited) I saw a cute movie the other day called "Now and Then"...I can't remember the girls in the movie right now, but I'll look it up for you...the movie reminded me alot of myself in the 70's....the girls were riding on their bikes and singing....they played a couple BADFINGER tunes also in the movie, along with "Hitchin A Ride"...
