Pulp Fiction soundtrack

I thought it was funny they mentioned that one. First they complain, that every "Best of" list only has old music, but now they include a soundtrack that consists mainly out of 50's and 60's songs... (Chuck Berry, Statler Brothers, Dusty Springfield, various Surf Rock)

P.S. However, "It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back" by Public Enemy, another album I rate very highly, does make it into this chart, despite being released in 1988.

I thought that was very strange. I knew I listened to that in the 80s. As long as it's getting the props it deserves, I won't complain.

I agree with Hard Rain about Pulp Fiction over Singles?; given a second look, that album made the defying moment in Grunge's credibility without the help of Nirvana.

Matchbox 20????

I like some of their songs, and I like some Rob Thomas stuff, but I don't know that I'd call them influential. Granted, I haven't any of their albums beginning to end, but I've heard enough to wonder about that choice.....

Pavement's 'crooked rain crooked rain' should be on there, it defined the 90s indie sound. If they're going to have neutral milk hotel and what not, pavement needs proper respect

They had Slanted and Enchanted though, right? I think they were trying to do one per artist.

BF, I was just thinking that since "It Takes a Nation of Millions..." was on there, that "our time" is 88-present.

I guess my time is 1989-present though.
