Farin
I think we had one of the hottest Julys in history here with more than 32°C - 35°C almost every day (that's 90F - 95F) and no rain for three weeks. Since we aren't in Madrid or the Death Valley that's quite extreme... (and we don't have a Siesta either ) but things are getting back to normal - we should get some 28°C (82F) today... ^ Hey Dappled! I didn't know you were from Sweden and I thought Edna and me were the only "Mainland" Europeans here... (Jag Ælskar Sverige )

Into The Mystic - Van Morrison, 11 Well, I was guity of not reading your Post correctly Dappled. I thought "how wouldn't 'How Much I Feel' have made a Top Ten with 48 points", but you've shown where they placed! Thanks for your research. I think Van the Man will make it this time. The Seeker
Can I still nominate? Well, I just bought the Steve Marriott anthology, so I'll go with two songs by him (don't have too much hope for them, though) 1. All Or Nothing -- Small Faces 2. Natural Born Bugie -- Humble Pie

Levis
Summer's finishing off... clear skies and cool breeze can suddenly turn to thunderstorms and pouring rain. It's called the monsoon. It's crazy. Temperatures are in the mid 30s so it's quite cool.
Jenny
The temperature is supposed to reach 100 degrees F today, but I'm not complaining.....summer will be over before we know it. Besides, it's a good excuse to be lazy!
RonJonSurfer
As Jenny says...it will be 100 + in New Jersey today and I love it....six months from today it will be February 1 and I'll be freezing my butt off....I'll never be heard complaining about the heat. Just catch a wave dudes....
rtstuff
I'm with you RonJon. It may be hotter than Hadies, but it sure beats February in West Virginia. We had a heat index today of 105. I actually made it out to the pool and as long as you were in the water it was ok. As soon as you got out the sweat starts to pour out of you. If I lived near the ocean I would take you up on catching a wave. rtstuff "Hot time summer in the city, back of neck getting hot and gritty". The Lovin Spoonful 1966. RonJonSurfer
The thermometer reading in my car is very accurate. I bought the car just one year ago...and a couple days. When i drove it home last year, the temp hit 103...I didn't see that again until today...106...I kid you not....I still love it.

OLD 55
Hi Ron. I'm 'acquiring' a couple of songs I don't know before I vote. Also I'm listening to a few other tracks I haven't heard for a while. With the heatwave, someone should have nominated Surfin' U.S.A.; it probably would have made #1. I have my 'Motown' Double CDs here at the moment, but I could always go and get my 'Best Of The Beach Boys' (after Being With You - Smokey Robinson. What a great song). I'm going to Atlantic City then Wildwood Crest next week for the surf. The family called from the shore today and said the water felt great. Beach Boys will do it for me. Do It Again maybe.. OLD 55
Enjoy Mate. Love Do It Again. It was a huge Hit here in 1968, especially in my home City of Brisbane. We have the best beaches in Australia here in Queensland *, but we're the furtherest Capital City from the surf! Only an hour's drive North or South though. * That will stir up some of my fellow Australians.
