Sweet Jane 61
Down On Me ~ Janis Love Is The Answer ~ England Dan and John Ford Coley I heard this song over the weekend, hadn't heard it in a long long time...love the lyrics...so I thought here is a tune to nominate. Kudos to Todd Rundgren for writing a cool song. Love Is The Answer Name your price A ticket to paradise I can't stay here any more And I've looked high and low I've been from shore, to shore, to shore If there's a short cut I'd have found it But there is no easy way around it Light of the world, shine on me Love is the answer Shine on us all Set us free Love is the answer Who knows why Someday we all must die We're all homeless boys and girls And we are never heard It's such a lonely, lonely, lonely world People turn their heads And walk on by Tell me is it worth just another try Light of the world, shine on me Love is the answer Shine on us all Set us free Love is the answer Tell me, are we alive Or just a dying planet (What are the chances) Ask the man in your heart For the answer And when you feel afraid (Love one another) When you've lost your way (Love one another) And when you're all alone (Love one another) And when you're far from home (Love one another) And when you're down and out (Love one another) And when your hopes run out (Love one another) And when you need a friend (Love one another) And when you're near the end (Love) (We've got to love) (We've got to love one another) Light of the world, shine on me Love is the answer Shine on us all Set us free Love is the answer Light of the world, shine on me Love is the answer Shine on us all Set us free Love is the answer... CanAm
Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting - Elton John Takin' Care of Business - BTO I love your selections, RonJon! I'm a big BTO fan and Elton is one of my favourite performers. Hopefully, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting will fare better this time around. Elton and his band are playing in Calgary in September but I was unable to snag any tickets. The concert sold out in 23 minutes. Maybe I will have more luck with tickets to The Who concert. OLD 55
Oh, Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison & The Candymen Piano Man - Billy Joel ................................................ Teach Your Children - CSNY (Cancelled; please see later Post). (I thought it was just CSN until I looked it up in my BOOK. Did Neil Young just join in with them occasionally? Same with Crazy Horse; he seemed to record only sporadically with them also. Anyway, I like this song). Edited July 25, 2006 by Guest Nomination Changed). daslied
Neil was with them on and off. And Jerry Garcia actually played the pedal steel guitar on that song. Anyhoo...

OLD 55
Thanks das and bluesboy. I wonder why he didn't use Crazy Horse more often? He seems to have had some great albums with them. Does the band still exist ?
