CanAm
This is shaping up to be the toughest competition yet!! I've already got more than 20 songs on my list. Yeesh!!
rtstuff
1.Summer of '69 Bryan Adams. I remember that summer well. Man lands on the moon, the Mets win the pennant, Woodstock and the Age of Aquarius. Come to think of it, I believe the odds were much more favorable for a moon landing then the Mets winning the pennant. 2. Memphis. The Johnny Rivers version. rtstuff "Give me an "F", give me a "U".......... You know the rest. The famous cheer by Country Joe McDonald at Woodstock. Lucky
CeeCee, I've softened my stance on lonnng songs. I probably only know the AM version (or a Single if one was released) of most that are nominated anyway. We know I'm an old Pop Tart, or something that rhymes with that. 3 minutes per song is about my attention span. I just finished listening to A Lover's Question, Clyde McPhatter, 2.29, from a 3 CD Box Set I bought today "All That Soul". OK Pop Tart... Can we say then.. Get Ready ~ Rare Earth ( The original and far superior 20 minute version ) Thanks Darryl!

katie_sane
Click here to hear 'Khe Sahn' by Cold Chisel, a song that c_s nominated. It's considered in some parts to be our unofficial national anthem. You're simply not a true Australian unless you know all the words!!

OLD 55
You're simply not a true Australian unless you know all the words!! I thought Barnesy sang "last train out of Sydney" until a few years ago. Lyrics aren't my strong point. That's a good clip, Katie. I see the Johnny Walker Red lubricant on the piano. (And it still sounds like last train....)
