Mike Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Anyone have any songfacts on "George Ivan Morrison" aka - Van Morrison - I particulary like "Brown eyed girl". Who can listen to this song and not get into it?
Carl Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 We were close to getting some real good Songfacts on "Brown Eyed Girl," but for some reason we didn't. From what I can remember, Van hated the song. He put it together as a pop confection to prove he could sell albums if he wanted to, but chose artistic integrity instead. This came after his album Astral Weeks , which is considered a classic, but caused some problems when it was released. If anyone knows more, please post.
