TheLizard
RIP Jim. You made it to the other side, too soon. Thanks for the music, the poetry, and the inspiration. I wouldn't be the same person if I hadn't discovered the Doors.

blind-fitter
For some reason I've never been able to get into The Doors. I tried when I was younger- quite a few of my favourite bands were strongly Doors-influenced (The Teardrop Explodes, Echo & The Bunnymen, Joy Division, The Stranglers, etc.) but it just didn't work for me... Also: from what I've read about Jim Morrison, he comes across as a bit of a knobhead.
TheLizard
Well, to each their own. One man's genius is another man's knobhead.
idler
Their first album for me, it was truly groundbreaking in showing the darker side to rock and there isn't a bad song on the whole album.
invisible_r
to be honest, although i voted for "strange days", I can't say I have a favourite. If I'm in Doors mood, i'll probably listen to all of them, and I did buy them all together as a box set
Uncle Joe
I voted for the final album, LA Woman which was recorded in their own rehearsal studio. Awesome songs including the final Jim Morrison recording, Riders On The Storm. Ray Manzerak's keyboard work is genius. Morrison sounds the best he'd ever sounded. The tracks: 1. The Changeling 2. Love Her Madly 3. Been Down So Long 4. Cars Hiss By My Window 5. L.A. Woman 6. L'America 7. Hyacinth House 8. Crawling King Snake 9. The Wasp (Texas Radio And The Big Beat) 10. Riders On The Storm
