MindCrime
I've only heard a handful of good bands this decade, but when a new talented promising rise through the corporate mainstream comes crashing in, that'll be the day.

Batman
I think the best thing that has been released in 2006 (so far) is "At War With The Mystics" by the Flaming Lips. I'm really looking forward to Thom Yorke's solo album, "The Eraser!"
daslied
I'm looking forward to Thom Yorke's album, too. And Radiohead's next one, which is supposedly a return to more of "The Bends" and "OK Computer" type stuff. Supposedly. Some of my favorites from 2000 and beyond: Damien Rice - O Aimee Mann - Lost In Space (the one with the live stuff) Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot or whatever the hell it's called Antony & The Johnsons - I Am A Bird Now Blind Boys Of Alabama - Higher Ground Fiona Apple - Extraordinary Machine Death Cab For Cutie - We Have The Facts... Elvis Costello - North Radiohead - Kid A, Amnesiac Tom Waits - Alice, Blood Money Outkast - Speakerboxx/The Love Below Jay-Z - The Black Album That's all I can remember right now. Sweet Jane 61
This is something I had to think over, not really getting into music from this decade unless it is something new from a classic artist. My list is short, mainly because I don't find much quality in the music of today. That is just my opinion and there may be music that will catch my attention in the future, you never know. Susan Tedeschi Joe Bonamassa Fuel Alicia Keys Joss Stone
TheTallOne
I was going to put down the Black Album as well, but I was afraid. I think this is the one solid rap album so far.
Batman
Stankonia is pretty solid as well. I mean...don't you think I'm so sexy? I'm just so fresh, so fresh, so clean. I heard this really good song on the radio the other day...I think it's by Ben Harper, but I'm not sure. It's kindof jazzy, and really gospely. At one part it goes "Maybe someday we'll patch it all up like a favorite pair of jeans that you won't give up." If anyone can help me with the artist/song title, that would be fantasitc! MindCrime
I liked Greenday's American Idiot album, they actually did a good job at keeping in line & sweeping the whole MTV Video Music Awards last year was just the icing off the cake. Levis
Apparently Stadium Arcadium is the Chili Peppers second best album ever. They say it's their best, but most people prefer to think that nothing can top BSSM. I haven't heard it yet. I've saved it up at home because I didn't want to bring it with me to HK... and I hope that the delay makes it taste better.
katie_sane
The Darkness - 'Permisson To Land', 'One Way Ticket To Hell...And Back' Audioslave - 'Audioslave', 'Out Of Exile' Franz Ferdinand - 'Franz Ferdinand', 'You Could Have It So Much Better' The Scissor Sisters - 'The Scissor Sisters' Outkast - 'Speakerboxx/The Love Below' They're probably my favourites from the 00's. I find it hard to get into new music, not much of it sets my world on fire.

Levis
I will have to get back to you on that, but for now I can say that I preferred By the Way to Californication. And I think BSSM is the most listenable album I have.
Batman
I just found out I like a song by the Killers, and needless to say, I'm shocked! It's called "All These Things That I Have Done" or something like that.

MindCrime
The Killers aren't that bad, they've got potential & if they can keep up with their record contract & not bail out like most other bands do these days, they should have another album or two with a well produced track list.
