Farin
Ich habe mich vertan (Live) ~ Helge Schneider "I made an (honest) mistake" Every friday I'm playing the lottery ticking every number that I know then I'm going home, sitting down on the couch watching the TV, switching it on the announcer tells me completly different numbers than I myself put down... I made an honest mistake mistake... I walk across the market I'm going shopping, my wife sent me I forgot the shopping list I'm buying 200g potatoes and and a double-centner Milano salami then I'm going home and get beaten by my wife with the open hand until the arm breaks but the only thing I've done wrong: I made an honest mistake mistake... I'm walking into a shop wanting to buy a nice jacket the saleswoman takes a newspaper rolls it together and beats me with it upside the head... hey what's this then? the lyrics are totally messed up * but isn't it nice that I admit it? I made an honest mistake mistake... I'm taking a walk in the park and I let myself be massaged I'm lying in the massage room and play tennis the tennis ball flys through the sail and I beat about against the wind the camel bucks and I dismount - from the airplane I made an honest mistake (to audience: that was a small fantasy story where the things don't match) forgot the text - don't give a sh't I made an honest mistake mistake... * the lyrics are really different from the CD version here, also the last verse is completely new - he's very known for greatly improvising his songs
blind-fitter
No, that was not my intention of the thread. If it really bothers you, then just ask a moderator to delete it for you. If not, then post some cool video's, because that was my aim of the thread. I have no problem with it being deleted though, so go ahead. Weren't you paying attention? Ditch the *&^%$£# apostrophe! The ones I mentioned above would definately get my vote if it's ever nominated! As for the others, they're just not my style, Die Sterne was the one at the bottom of my list, but thats just imo. Farin
you should also try Schlaf Kindlein, Schlaf a sweet, little lullaby and I actually thought that you didn't like Tocotronic, die Sterne, Tomte or die Goldene Zitronen as much (although I thought the last one would be last on your list ) I guess that's more the german equivalent of Nerd Rock
Rayzor
Zitronen was right above them at the bottom, and the other 2 were just above them, so you had me pegged about right! Nerd rock not really my style

Farin
that's not normally my kind of music, but Serge Gainsbourg has the kind of voice that somehow just pulls you in... (that reminds me, was "Je t'aime" already in the Top Ten?)

Levis
Thanks for listening! It's worth it, sometimes I like that song so much because they're both such beautiful langauges and if you look at the translation that's given in the description, you see the lyrics are very nice (understatement) as well.
