This is my favourite CCR song. I would have nominated it myself.

2. While My Guitar Gently Weeps - The Beatles

I went to their concert in Stockholm in 1969. They were a warmup act for Country Joe and The Fish! And they did warm us up!!!

I think this list has exposed my youth and inexperience - most people are saying what a tough field this is, but I haven't heard of most of the other songs that have been nominated.

1. Bad Case Of Loving You - Robert Palmer "Ooo oooo ooo" Hardly a cooler vocal sound in all R&R

2. Breathe (2 A.M.) - Anna Nalick and I want to hear Jenny sing it too

3. Who'll Stop The Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival CCR - 'nough said.

4. Walk Away - The James Gang so glad this was nominated - I had forgotten how great this song is

5. Doctor My Eyes - Jackson Browne love the tumbling bass lines throughout this song

6. Dancing In The Dark - Bruce Springsteen Great video song with Clarence and Courteney as co-stars

7. Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) - The Hollies one of the more poetic titles in music

8. Love Is Blue - Paul Mauriat and His Orchestra Putting words to this tune and having Andy Williams record it meant the destruction of this beautifully evocative score

9. Needles And Pins - The Searchers another "pick a harmony" song

10. Chevy Van - Sammy Johns didn't he go on to later co-found a hospital? For that reason alone, he deserves to be in the top ten

Once again a lot of good hits on our list.

1. Who'll Stop The Rain. One of my favorites by one of my favorite groups. Some interesting reading on our SongFacts board about this song.

2. Devil With A Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly... The Motor City mad man Mitch Ryder. Excellent rock!!!!

3. If You Leave Me Now. A great brass sound.

4. Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress). At one time in my life I pursued such a vision.

5. Love Is Blue. Once again this brings back thoughts of radio station WMUL on the Marshall campus in '68 and a certain blue eyed blond.

6. Summertime Blues. A real good rock-a-billy hit by a rock-a-billy legend.

7. Green Onions Hey another instrumental. Booker T., Donald "Duck" Dunn and the gang.

8. Doctor MY Eyes. I always thought Jackson Browne was underrated.

9. You're No Good. Linda Rhonstadt is one of my wife's favorite.

10. All Shook UP. The King! What else can I say?
