Batman
First off, I guess this really isn't the best of everything. second, I was going to put this in Random thoughts, but this has to do with all sorts of media including music so I put it here. From each decade from 1950 to 2004, pick the best band, TV show, movie, and whatever else you would like to add (you can do decades before 50 if you want to). One rule for TV though, no reruns! The best show of 2004 can't be Simpsons reruns or Charlies Angels reruns or something. and it doesn't have to be the "best movie" just your favorite. For instance, Titanic is one of the "best movies" of the nineties, but I didn't like it. It was too boring. heres my list 50's House of Wax Can't think of anything else 60's Twilight Zone Jimi Hendrix Rosemary's baby 70's Blazing Saddles/The Jerk Led Zeppelin 80's The Simpsons Airplane! Queen 90's Nirvana Dumb and Dumber The Simpsons now Chappelles show/daily show White Stripes Starsky and Hutch (yeah, its been a bad couple of years for movies) Theres probably a better one, but I can't think of it/haven't seen it. Danielj
50's NO IDEA!! 60's Hendrix/The Who Woodstock 70's Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd 80's Guns n' Roses 90's NIN Nirvana 97 summer olympics 00's B.B. MindCrime
Slash and Duff together for Velvet Revolver It was a major let down, I thought it was going to be the best thing in music for many of years to come, but I was sadly disappointed. Maybe a different lead singer & some more rehearsed riffs & they could've been a better benefit.
Aunt_Acid
Best of everything, eh? I would say the 90s had the best fillet mignon.
_jr_
Ok, this is going to be random, because quite frankly, I'm too lazy to sort it all out and make a neat list. (Which, by the way, I forget right now who did it, but there's a list up top that's color coded, sorted by category and decade. Very nice work.) Anyway, a disclaimer that these are only things from my lifetime, (1964 on), Running Back ~ Barry Sanders Concert event ~ Woodstock TV Show ~ MASH Fashion trend ~ Hip huggers. (I can't find a thing wrong with them) Fad ~ Rubik's cube. (I still have mine, and I still haven't figured it out.) Oddity ~ Evel Knevel Prettiest band ~ Poison Car ~ Toss up between the Batmobile and the Family Truckster Well, I could go on, but I'll have to ponder a bit more. Danielj
One thing Annabelle. You haveEric Clapton down as 90's. That surprises me. His best IMO was 70's and Cream
_Annabelle_
That maybe true, Daniel, but I have a soft spot for his soulful, acoustic work of the early 90's. In addition, I couldn't honestly think of another favorite artist for that decade.
