AC/DC is the last track on Sweet's 1974 "Sweet Fanny Adams" (UK edition) LP on RCA Victor and the subject matter deals with meeting a bisexual woman (which seems OK!). It was not released as a single. :cuttie: :cuttie:

"Play That Funky Music"

Wild Cherry

Written by Robert Parissi.

A track from their 1976 album "Wild Cherry", it was released in the same year as a single with "The Lady Wants Your Money" as the B-side.

The single made #1 on Billboard Hot 100 by September and also topped on the Hot R&B Singles chart.

It was certified Platinum and it sold over 2,5 million copies.

The autobiographical song was inspired by the times. The song's title (and chorus) came from drummer Ron Beitle's observation during a break between sets at the 2001 Club in Pittsburgh. The group performed mostly hard rock, but disco was popular, and some of the group's loyal followers were asking for more dance songs. While taking a break between sets, Beitle uttered, "play some funky music, white boy". Parissi decided they should, and he wrote down the phrase on a bar order pad. They later recorded it in Cleveland with a funk sound
