Tenacious_Peaches Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Bless you, Farin. I needed that this morning. I loves me some Foos!
Farin Posted July 24, 2006 Author Report Posted July 24, 2006 I just did it for you and I would have needed that too. First thing today a friend of mine asked me if I knew what "I don't like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats is about... (and I knew that of course ) so I needed something more funny...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 I just posted the lyrics to "One Love", so I felt compelled to search for some more Marley on the almighty YouTube. Enjoy! Three Little Birds - Bob Marley
MindCrime Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Revolutionary classic video, that was directed by Godley & Cream. Rockit~Herbie Hancock won 5 awards at the first ever MTV video music awards, as well as a grammy in 1984.
Shadows Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 my favourite is the subterranean homesick blues video
Jenny Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Rockit! That video would fascinate me and creep me out at the same time!
Farin Posted July 25, 2006 Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 Here's something new: a cover version of a video old: Bob Dylan ~ Subterranian Homesick Blues new: Wir sind Helden ~ Nur ein Wort Couldn't agree more... and here I'll "repost" it...
Farin Posted July 27, 2006 Author Report Posted July 27, 2006 everythings backwards! Jack Johnson ~ Sitting, Waiting, Wishing
MindCrime Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Another Brick in the Wall I found a site, where videos can be downloaded & saved on most media players, trick is, it takes a while to do so.
Jenny Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 I like that Jack Johnson video, Farin. I will probably go to You Tube later to see if I can see Keane's lead singer slouching, so maybe I'll dig up another '80's rarity.
Danielj Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Savin Me by Nickelback. Not a big fan of the song, but i think the video is awesome. A man gets his life saved at the start of the video after getting pulled away from an oncoming bus. Basically after that, the man starts seeing numbers over peoples heads. He is mystified and is waving over their heads, and people are freaked out. He figures out what is going on when he sees an old woman carried out to an ambulance her time is counting down 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, death. in the end he sees a girl going up to a car with a 5 over her head. He rushes forward and saves her, then hurries away. The fadeout is her looking above peoples heads.
Shadows Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 yeah ive seen that video...its kind of freaky
cadillacranch Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 Excellent clip from Japanese Techno-artist Ken Ishii.
Farin Posted August 31, 2006 Author Report Posted August 31, 2006 I really like these expressionist videos... Otherside ~ Red Hot Chili Peppers
Farin Posted September 2, 2006 Author Report Posted September 2, 2006 (edited) ^ you love Chili Peppers, period... here's another one of my favourite videos, I don't even know, if you know the song... Last Stop: This Town ~ Eels where else can you see a singing carrot? PS: it's not The Eels, but simply Eels... Edited September 2, 2006 by Guest I just HAD to say/write that...
Ombre Vivante Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 The Alan Parsons Project's "Don't Answer Me" UB40's "Red, Red Wine" Simply Red's "Holding Back The Years" I like music videos that follow a bit of a storyline in their brief 3 to 4 minutes. Either that or they must use some catchy technique or visuals. Sometimes, the song could be lacklustre, but the video bumps it up a notch.
The Seeker Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 I'll never stop advertising The Who, so here's yet another one, little clips from different shows. Real Good Looking Boy -- The Who Wait till the commercial's over. It's certainly worth it. (and you get to see Elvis too)
edna Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 The Alan Parsons Project's "Don't Answer Me" I remember we talked about this video a couple of years ago or maybe one year ago... here´s the link for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLbUQGNL3Dw
