wasn't really sure where to post this, anyway, a friend of mine sent me this album, which is a tribute to serge gainsbourg, translated into english, by various new artists. some are really good, "i love you" is was a bit disturbing to me as it was the only track I recognised!

Serge Gainsbourg is a genius. A real poet. He should be a member of L´Académie Française... I just love him.

I don't know much songs of Gainsbourg (only "Je t'aime ... moi non plus" and "Aux Armes et caetera" come to mind), but I think he was/is a very interesting person. I will definitly check out this album, if only because of the musicians playing (Franz Ferdinand, Jarvis Cocker, Michael Stipe and I love Gonzales).

These are the worst of his songs but the ones that made him very well-known... "L´accordéon", "Comic Strip"... well, I could list so many good ones... Thanks for the link, Farin!
